.....,they need to finish up with a big spurt and win 21 games out of 27! I know thats a tall order but it would give them something to shoot for. Yao Ming needs to average no less than 18 points/game for the next 27 and the ROY will be his. He also needs to move infront of Amare in the Double Doubles. If we make the playoffs then it will be Yao Ming, if we dont then it might be shared.

who cares about ROY...I really dont. I mean, that is not the final goal. The rocks need to make a goal to make the playoffs, and then when the season/playoffs are over, they can mingle about their stats. Until then. PLAY THE GAME, AND WIN...TO BE IN THE PLAYOFFS!!

    Wow, 21 out of 27? That's not just a tall order, that's almost 7'5 ;) .

Seriously though, we have 27 game, we need to win 16 games and we're in. Our chances against the Spurs, Kings, or Mavs don't differ. Chances are, we'd get sweeped by all those teams, because they're regular playoff contenders and we're first-timers.

Right now, the most important thing is our star players getting it. There's nothing to pound "it" in like the playoffs, so just being there is a plus.

Mobley is starting to heat up, and our PF position is producing much better results than the first half of the season. I'd say, if either Posey or Rice catch fire, we could win 18 to 20 games.

Damn, no edit. I am not trying to bash on u, though it might appear that i did. I am just saying, stats are the least of our matter. I would love to have Yao average 18pts, and 12rbs a game for the rest of season, or anything close to that. I want the rocks to make it in the playoffs. THen, if that happens it will make ROY winner Yao even more glorious...but if Yao wins ROY and the Rocks get no playoffs....I could care less. I used to care about the ROY award thing...but not any more. After the rocks not reaching the playoffs for so long....to me....it has been a very very long time....To finally be back in the post season...that is the sweetest thing. ;)

I agree, the rocks must be above the .500 mark in wins the rest of the season...not at it. But above it inorder to make the post season.
