Houston trade Asik, Patterson and Aldrich
    Get Dwight

    LA trade Dwight
    Get Josh Smith, Patterson

    Atlanta trade Josh Smith
    Get Asik, Aldrich

    Rockets Lineup:
    Lin
    Harden
    Parsons
    Morris
    Dwight

    Lakers Lineup:
    Nash
    Kobe
    Metta WP
    Patterson
    Gasol

    ATL Lineup:
    Harris
    Stevenson
    Kyle Korver
    Horford
    Asik

Makes all situations better. Atlanta want to put Horford at the PF. Gasol wants to play Center and the Rockets get a Center that blocks shots and can finish in the pick and roll even if you bounce pass him the ball!

Just to keep the random Eric Gordon stuff going:

    Celtics get
    Gordon, Lopez, Patterson, White

    Rockets get
    Garnett, Vasquez, Aminu

    Hornets get
Parsons, Lin, Lee, Green, Smith, Boston 1st round pick

Maybe the Hornets are getting screwed a bit here? But they get a supporting cast for Anthony Davis made up of young vets (Lee, Green) and young talent (Parsons, Lin, Smith??). But hey, Gordon wants out, and the team who the star wants to leave never tends to get fair compensation, for them it's a matter of getting the best deal possible I guess?

Celtics keep themselves in the hunt for the playoffs this season by adding some size (Lopez), and scoring (Gordon/ Patterson). They get something in White (not sure what) and clear some bad contracts. Gets them under the taxline too, and we could always flip them Douglas if they wanted a point for the rest of this season.

Rockets get frontcourt firepower to make the playoffs this year and show we're a serious team. Vasquez maintains the situation at point. Also clears further cap space for 2013 free agency. We'd be able to Paul/ Howard/ Bynum (or any FA) with a 'come win now with Harden and KG' deal. We'd still be $4.9m under this years cap, so could conceivable save another team tax money and get whatever reward is offered there...

This isn't anything close to the best deal possible for the Hornets. Last ditch trading away Gordon for prospects I could see, but no way they let go of Gordon and Vasquez in the same transaction without getting a superstar.

Since no one on the Hawks is untouchable, what do you guys think it would take to get Al Horford?

Ken Berger: The Hawks are very open to moving Josh Smith, and Danny Ferry the general manager there really doesn't feel anybody on the roster is untouchable, I'm told. CBSSports.com

Yes to Al Horford please....give them Jones, Patterson, Delfino and Motiejunas for Horford

then trade Douglas and Aldrich to Boston for a wing player like Lee

I just don't see how or why they trade Horford. He's signed to $12 million per year through 2016....a GREAT contract for a 26 year old 6'10" PF/C that puts up 16 pts and 10 rbds. They only have $18 million in guarenteed money, which means they could add another 2 max contracts without trading Horford.

Unless they get a superstar in return, ie Howard, they aren't moving Horford.

Hello, Daniel Alaei :) to get a working link, you have to press "save trade" on the espn trade machine.

Re the trade... any idea that turns Patterson and Morris into Love is completely unrealistic. It doesn't matter if one does it by robbing one team a lot or 'hides' it by robbing two or three teams a little. GMs aren't idiots, they'll see "Morris, Patterson, Love" and go "wtf". Or in this case, if New Orleans can somehow turn Eric Gordon into Kevin Love, Derrick Williams and Luke Ridnour, why do they say 'no' to that and take Marcus Morris instead.

The Lakers' not gonna commit 8.3 mil to Lin when they are trying to clear space to make a run for LeBron.

Not sure if this should be in another trade or not but yesterday, I met LaMarcus Aldridge at Sports Authority and jokingly said, "man, we could really use you down here in Houston! when are you gonna come play for us?!"

LA says, in all seriousness, "mannnnn, i really, really want to come to Houston and play for the Rockets. I really like the direction the team is headed."

I really didn't expect that response from him since he's typically a quiet guy, but wow, he would be a GREAT fit for this team at the 4.

Maybe Tjones, patterson, morris fillers and draft picks can get it done

    Morey, get er done!!!

You know, Portland is one of the teams that had interest in Eric Gordon last summer. He was scheduled to visit there but once he got to Phoenix he signed their offer sheet.

I'm not going off the deep end here, but Houston, Portland, and New Orleans are three teams that could benefit one another in a trade-a-trois. Might not even have to give up Parsons.

That's a great point. Completely forgot about Portland's interest in Gordon. If the deal you are proposing somehow works out, wow, we are going to be a great team moving forward with two legitimate all stars
