Hakeem and Sam Cassell for the Rockets

Jordan, Sir Charles, Mutumbo and Shawn Kemp for the rest of the NBA.

Its funny how you love or hate some players and when they change teams you change your opinion?

I loved Garnett when he was with the T-Wolves, not so much the Celtics
I always thought Clyde was like the bad guy in the MJ Clyde battles when he was at Portland but when he went to Houston (obviously) it changed
Mitch Richmond at GS I liked not at Sac
Hated Rodman at Detroit, big respect for him with the Bulls.... etc

    a) Shane Battier
    b) Larry Bird

Battier, because his play really showed me how players can make big a difference on court without it showing up in the stats. I used to be always about individual accomplishment, and I cared minimally about the team aspect of the game before that. Seriously embarrassing to admit, but there it is.

Bird, because my cousins in Boston were big Celtics fans, and they were the ones who turned me onto basketball. That's also part of the reason I'm a big McHale supporter.

I was first a Blazers fan so between the time I started watching basketball (early 90's) up until Drexler was traded to Houston Drexler was my favorite player in the NBA. It didn't take long for Hakeem to overtake Clyde as he became my favortie player before the 95 playoffs finished.

Around that sime time (95 playoffs) I started liking Penny and he became the 1st player I liked outside of my favorite team. I remember having all 4 of Penny's signature Nike shoes from back then.

Thanks for the replies.keep it going.another thing i'm interested is which players' basketball cards do u have growing up?

I start watching basketball in my teens, basketball isn't a popular sport at my place, soccer is (so i am still a soccer first fan).I started watching nba after witnessing Nash passes in a tv news segment ,I love his passes ,so he's my favourite player growing up.

Chuck. First game I ever went to was in the early 90s, Chuck dropped something like 40/20 in a blowout win against the Jordan Bulls at the Spectrum.
