Wow yeah that is a really troublesome quote. I mean, not cool at all. Lin has a super high ceiling. Like all-star potential. He actually needs to do the opposite, and basically give him (and Harden of course) the keys to the offense. Sure Lin will make some mistakes, he's still young and learning, but he's really really talented. If you want him to reach his max potential, let him loose. In the long run it will pay off. Unfortunately, it looks like McHale and I disagree about what his ceiling is. Hopefully, Jeremy will continue to prove himself over time and in turn really help the Rockets become a great team.

Even if Curry gets injured while playing for the Rockets, it wouldnt matter much since Mchale gives so much playing time to Douglas and Beverly

Few notes from Lin's Q&A... Nothing important at all.

-He likes Houston, but he loves the Bay Area. He will be spending the off-seasons at home.
-If he could be any animal it would be a dolphin cause: "they're smooth and stuff."
-His favorite player growing up was Michael Jordan. He had a lot of Warriors posters and memorabilia though.
-He explained offer sheets and how that works to people who don't get why he's not a Knick anymore.
-He liked the Linsanity stuff but makes sure his family and friends don't use that term.

    That's basically it.

Yes, I would want to spend the summer in the Bay Area instead of Houston too if I had the choice.

    Yeah nothing important.

I read that all the questions come from Warriors official. No other quesiton is allowed. That's boring. It would be much more fun if they let fans or media ask some questions.

Someone mentioned on another site, a question was asked if he has a girlfriend and questions about his Knicks days. He must get so sick of the gf question.

Maybe Machale who sees Lin everyday in practice knows a little more about him then us on this board. U guys gotta stop judging his potential off a 10 game stretch. (Flip Murray anyone?) I think Lin is gonna be a very nice player in the league but if u really think he's about to avg harden numbers then prepare to be let down. 15 and 9 seems more realistic to me. Because linsanity is the best pg in NBA history and I'm sorry I'm just not ready to put that pressure on the guy.

15 and 9 for Lin in this system seems like a stretch. There are so many players like harden, Parsons, Delfino, etc who can play the role of ball handler. Any of those guys can dish out 5 or more assists at any given game. 15 and 7 may be more realistic.

So happy with the win and so happy that for the first time I've watched a Rox game without sacrificing my sleep..lol...Hope their game schedules should always be like this..j/k..

Am I the only only Lin fan who is happy that he didn't go "Linsanity" tonight...shows that he really respects GSW a lot...

14 and 8 in my opinion is the most realistic eventual outcome, once the Rockets have better roll guys for Jeremy to pass to. I see him as a 35% three point shooter down the road.

I agree, 14-15 and 6-7 is more realistic. We're not a PG driven team. Harden is our main playmaker/ball handler and then we have Lin/Parsons/Delfino that can also play the role ball handler/playmaker.

I disagree. Coach Smart, McHale, D'Antoni all saw Lin in practice and still didn't know Lin had much potential. They didn't see it. Only after Linsanity did people take notice. Even after, even a hall-of-famer coach, Brown, said that he is merely a decent backup player, even after Linsanity.
But, this is not even a discussion of whether he will be good or not, it's the low expectations put on Lin by coaches such as McHale. Its in stark contrast to D'Antoni who has said about Lin reaching Linsanity potential, "Why not? He's done it before."
Coaches are not always right. Government official's are not always right. Our presidents have not always been right. You have to think for yourself from what you see and believe, and I see that McHale and Sampson are, quite rudely truth be told, underestimating Lin's potential and putting a cap on it, in public I might add. That's not to say that I think he's doing it on purpose, it's just that he can't get over a certain image of Lin or whatever and with confirmation bias sees TD as a better option than Lin in the 4th quarter. I'm sorry, it just is too unfair. Once again, it's just my opinion and no I don't live with McHale and even if I did, no I couldn't read his mind. Just conjecture, but a reasonable one, I think, based on all his interviews and rotation decisions thus far.
This was a good game, I don't want to make anyone upset in a good win, I'm just hoping to get the best from our team going forward and want to win a series in the playoffs, not next year, but NOW.. wishful thinking, I know, but....

You LOFs really make me sick.

Yes, you're the only "fan" happy that Lin didn't play insanely great because he has a lot of respect for the team we played.

I sincerely doubt that he said to himself, "I really respect the Warriors, better not play too well tonight."

I like and respect Lin because he's a member of our Houston Rockets, but ******* I hate his lame ass fans.

I am not surprised that Rockets win, the past 10 games they've been shooting at about 48%+. It will surprise me if they beat the Clippers, but would not shock me if they win because the Clippers aren't as invincinible as the Heat.

Then go to a hospital..if u'r sick, the hospital is the best place for you and not the Internet..got it!

And maybe before you resort to name calling, start sharpening your comprehension first..and yes Lin respects GSW, what's wrong with respecting the team who give you the opportunity to live your dreams...it's not as if he was there to prove something...

I love my Rockets..but detest a fan who treats other fans as crap...

But anyway, thank you for this message I woke up from a dreary day in the office...
