    Coach said he'll play 5-20 min. Wonder if he's been practicing or if he's rusty and out of shape. One of my friends saw him at the gym a while back but game shape is something else.

    Makes sense considering the Europeans grow up following a variety of different leagues, and the Americans only follow one league, the NBA. So the Americans see it as its the NBA or nothing, while the Europeans tend to view it more as just playing basketball.

    What are you talking about? Please explain. TJones is averaging 19 pts and 9.5 rbs and I haven't heard anything about how his confidence is being destroyed in the the D-League. Please explain what you are talking about.

    Going to be a fun night -- 5 straight hours of Rockets basketball ... or, Rockets playing basketball.

    I'm really looking forward to this one. I don't know if there will be an adjustment period, but if he has the ball in his hands to run the show, I expect to see some highlights tonight. I don't have much hope for his long-term prospects anymore, but I consider it a good sign that his teammates took to him quickly.

    Royce is not in great shape based on his recent interviews. The man can have a great physique for basketball, unfortunately he does not work out or play more than once a week during the off season.

    the thing with Royce White is that he gets by on pure talent alone

    he may not have the greatest physique or be in the best shape for a bball player

    he may not be really developed as a player at this stage in his basketball career

    but he always finds a way to make a difference on the court purely on his talent and style of play

    this is what intrigues Morey, so much... the what-ifs with this guy...

    as good as Royce's game is now, he still hasn't really undergone much "Development" in his basketball life... he still has this vast potential ahead of him..

    in short, what if we develop his overall game?

    what would be his talent + (and that's going to be a big PLUS right here) a developed all around game (inside, outside, defense, etc.)... imagine... dream... yeah baby

    in terms of play he's actually really something special, and if he adds to that by developing his shooting, his all around defense (post, help, perimeter, on ball, etc), his FT shooting, his post play.. and then combine that with his playmaking, mobility, agility, explosiveness, passing, ball handling, size, toughness, bball IQ, etc.... then what do you have? a great pick at 16!

    well, those are what ifs, but they are not that far fetched...

    there may have been a lot of drama recently, but all of that will not really matter if things turn out great

    regarding his weight, Royce feels his best playing wt is around 260 lbs. i don't think we need to mess with this as Royce feels best playing at that "fighting" weight.

    his explosiveness does not suffer. plus i think he needs that mass to bang effectively down low. the only downside i think would be his stamina, but if he plays with great endurance then, i say keep him at that weight.

    as far as his mental issues, most if not all are outside the court. if they (the team and royce) deal with this intelligently, i see no reason for this to be a problem on court.

    Hmmmm - expectations pretty low for me at least! If Royce manages one double double in a d-league game the rest of the season I'll be thrilled!

    Disagree with that.

    Michael Beasley has poor basketball IQ, but with tons of talent.

    Royce White has tons of talent, with bad attitude, but he is certainly not lacking in the basketball IQ department. Dumb basketball players will never see the court or pass the ball the way White does.
