The food is good, I agree. But they don't serve alcohol so they can't qualify in any best brunch contest.

Shade was one of my favorite brunch spots when i lived down there.

It's not a brunch, but the mimosas at El Jarrito in Katy are very tasty. They have the typical Mexican breakfast fare (chilaquiles were da bomb) along with their full bar.

I only really like brunch when it's a buffet. I haven't been to a good brunch buffet in Houston even though I've lived here my whole life.

Hubble and Hudson in the woodlands is always tasty and fresh. It can be pricey though.

    Houstonian is always nice.

Goode Co. Taqueria has a great breakfast menu served until 12:30...

ouisie's you can't go wrong with if you want something nicer.

Backstreet Cafe is also pretty good.

Try Baba Yega in the Montrose area, but get there early. I haven't been in a while, but their Sunday brunch was delicious for a buffet.

I also loved the waffles and chicken wings, or the catfish and gritz at The Breakfast Club. Also, get there early or wait in a long line. Only open I think from 7am-1pm?

LOVE Hugo's on Westheimer, Goode Company and Backstreet Cafe since it's close to home for the headache drive.

I also remember having a chicken fried steak at Ouisie's Table, along with shrimp and gritz and it was outstanding. That was about a year ago though, no idea if they're still open?

Edit- DM knows his brunch! I guess Ouisie's is still open. I might hit that place up this Sunday.
