why the hell do you want Josh Smith on this team? He's not good enough and is probably a little too old.
It would be cool to give him a few "DNP - Didn't Practice" in the NBDL before he gets some scrub minutes. This guy needs a reality check.
I am very excited. I hated all the twitter crap and was disgusted by some of his comments - but he was still the most exciting rookie in summer camp and has a real unique skillset. If he is ready to grow up now and be a model citizen, I am ready to give him a fresh start. But lets not forget - he is still a far way from contributing. He desperately needs to develope a jump shot or a real post move and he desperately needs to improve his defense. Right now he is a tweener with no real offensive go to move and a below average defender that is great at running the court and passing. I don't think he can contribute this year - but it's still exciting to watch him.
give the guy a chance. people like ron artest played in this team before, i dont understand why too many people goes so hard on a rookie with some mental problems. he might change if he starts to play. Those mental issues might be the consequences of none-playing factor and everybody deserves a chance to change and leave it all behind. he is just a kid.
I hope he does well but I also hope that people are not going think he is going to be anything close to Lebron. Some experts where saying he is a possible top five talent. We will see. With T-jones and White maybe we will win the D-League
The guy has given me no reason to root for him. Just being drafted by the Rockets doesn't not warrant my unwavering support. Go join the army for 4 years Royce than come back and you will have my support. Actually don't Royce, you would just b**** that the military is an unsafe work environment.
I'm excited to see him play......... in 2K13. Royce's Dime pass ability dishing to harden, delfino, parsons
He is 260+, and will put more muscle on soon. He is a Finesse Power Point Forward, doesn't have 3 range, and his jump shot midrange will need a lot of work. Make no mistake, he is not, and will not, be a 3.... Still, he's a unique talent, been waiting a while to see him play, and it'll be at least another year before he dons a Rox uni. Still yet, am excited, college isn't the same as the pros, but he was the best player on the court each game he played there.
Good grief. You knew exactly what apollo was talking about. And I agree, he'd better be GREAT at something.
I really wish I was excited but I'M NOT! It's hard to get excited about a player who I know could of helped the Rockets but instead chose to play his Paris Hilton card. The guy loves attention but doesn't want to carry his share of the load. I hope the drama King can play or he should get a well deserved boo-ing every time he steps into the Toyota Center!! ................... ................... ...................
Meh he didn't look good in summer league and will struggle in d league like all undersized offensively handicapped power fowards
