I agree. That doesn't mean he can't shoot wide open jumpers created off dribble penetration by Harden/Lin. As bad as he's been in his midrange game, he is a solid and improving FT shooter. It's not a case of Asik just can't shoot, but more a case of not understanding when and how to develop that mid range game. So while he could improve in a better situation, I like you think it would be best to just push him to develop a mini-Shaq low post game and just go with that. He can score 20+ a night on that and opportunities created by our guards as is.

I'd rather give up Asik + filler to get Cousins, and keep Parsons either to continue to develop or as trade bait in a move down the road (cough: Love, Aldridge)

Simple This is a young and talented developing team:-
Josh Smith Too OLD and slightly passed it!
Cousins is YOUNG enough to be molded to fit our style. Y:p

    Facts about the Rockets.
Mchale is an utter mess when it come to coaching
    Lin is very subpar
and well milsap or jsmooth isnt that guy.
If were serious about winning we should look into locking up aldridge, cousins, or Amare when this year is over.
    er
Patience is the key or mediocore will happen to us again. We need that superstar if we serious about beating either the heat or the thunder.

Cousins will be a stud for years to come, he lacks motivation some nights on a crappy team and the city ridicules his young mind. Send him on over here with the fun Rockets and well take pretty good care of him like we do most of our players. I think we need a better coach before our next big star comes because inept Mchale really isnt the answer, he'd probably steer Demarcus backwards instead of forward the same way he ran off some of our favorite players the past year. We need a good coach not great but at least good ali Mark Jacckson or Rick Adelman, around those lines. Im pretty sure Mchale could teach him a few good post moves but like Stephen A says, Cousins needs a leader of men, then just imagine his impact individually, better yet imagine his impact paired up with harden and our other cast. Houston would be a problem, look pass that mental part because he hasn't gotten enough time or the right mentoring to mature. If he wanted that chance here i'd give it to him and watch as he become a man in Houston and we claim another great pf/c like we did Olajawon as eventually him and harden will get a ring. Guy has Big Talent Yes i said it BIIGGG TALENT. Dude can go full beast mode on offense and no one in his line sight will stop him and he isn't even peaking now. Let the guy grow, J.smith is already past that nurturing point and hes still a tweener sf/pf bonehead. He will begin to slowing down soon before you know it, if your looking for the next big thing Cousins is it, just gotta find a way to steal him before the Kings transfer to Seattle and he becomes locked up. The rest of the NBA knows Cousins value, hes the reason why the kings phones just keeps ringing.........

I would pick josh smith over cousins anyday. Josh Smith has more potetinal and is way more athletic. To me Demarcus Cousins is somone who could be in better shape and he's way slower.

Josh Smith has reached his potential already. Cousins has loads of potential left at just 22 yrs old.

    Here's why.

It would be nice to have a big man who could pass like that and have good hands.

    Here's another reason.

    In January:

    Cousins: 21-12, 49% FG

    Smith: 16-9, 43% FG

Cousins = True C, on rookie contract, room for growth.

Smith = Topped out PF/SF who'll command big contract.

    Simple as that.

I hate the idea of trying to trade for either of them.

    1. Cousins: 6'10.75, 292lbs, 7'5.75 wingspan!!!
    Smith: 6'8.25, 221lbs, 7' Wingspan

    2. Cousins: 08/13/1990 (22)
    Smith: 12/05/1985 (27)

    3. Aside from measurables and age, Cousins is much more skilled offensively and has superior touch around the basket, especially for such a young player. He is more of a head case, and his work ethic and motor are always at question, but his potential is limitless.

***As an aside, I would not mind Josh Smith on the Rockets. He would be a great fit, but I would rather wait and hope to acquire him in free agency vs. trading for him.

Why didn't Cousins play almost the entire second half of the game and the Kings made a big run o_O?

foul trouble, headcase, threw his towel at the bench and refused to being subbed out initially.

And his team won tonight. That dude is too insane to have on our team.
