    I'll tell you....

Save for the airball, I think it's pretty apparent that, even seeing this guy play for 1 minute, it's pretty apparent that he can bring a ton more to the table than moochie can, and, couple that with bill and calvin talking about how his teammates rave about his defense....it's clear that he's better than moochie.

    too bad rudy's a moron.

MAN I SAW HIM. And even though it was garbage time..HE IS FAST. Much faster than Moochie. And golly....HE MADE BOTH FREE THROWS...his first attempts...

    And he actually passes.

I like him...he actually played good defense on Van Exel too...but Van Exel wasn't really trying.

But when Hawkins and Nachbar are still struggling for minutes. We won't see Maddox much, at least in the near future.

moochie plays no defense. he can't shoot. he not a good play maker as of late, and he dribbles the ball WAAAAAAAAY too much. Rudy's train of thought=hmmmm, I'll play moochie instead of maddox because I like his hair.

Rudy wake up and play maddox you freaking moron! Moochie kills us everytime steve is out of the game. The only problem maddox has is that he has trouble passing out of the double team, I guess rudy and his 'great' coaching staff can't help him with that problem. Too complex I guess.

Sorry but you can't blame Moochie. Did you forget our last game againstt Pheonix? Moochie was the one who led a comeback and victory. Too bad he is inconsistent and cannot play against better players like Nick Van Exel and Avery Johnson..:(

Tito needs to realize that the best way for him to pass by Moochie on the depth chart is for him to create open shots for his teammates and make the correct passes. Heaving up long jumpers with people in your faces is a skill that ALL of our guards already have. Try showing Rudy something a little different. I have confidence that the kid can do it. He DID average 8.5 assists a game in college one season.

What a moronic comment. You don't like Rudy as coach? OK. Rudy a moron? I am certain it is clear who the moron is. Just in case you don't get it -- you certainly seem like a moron to me.

Maddoz did look pretty good. From what I saw, he had good ball handling, had good speed and hustled.

I too question Rudy's use of the team.

At the very LEAST I would be willing to bet that Nick Van Exel wouldn't make Tito look like his BIATCH out there, dammit!!!!!!!

Unlike our first and second string Point Guards Tito knows how to play the position. I hope Rudy T has plans for him !

seriously tito plays pretty good. imagine that, a rookie pg who can play defense and pass the ball. maybe with francis and his back hurting, tito will get some playing time.

I knew when Tito made that drive and layup, that a thread would come up asking why Tito doesn't play more. You must be some B-ball genius if you can tell that Tito is better than moochie after seeing him play for 1 minute. Maybe you're right, what do I know.... I think maybe if he got a little more playing time he could take Stevie's starting spot. We'll probably never know since Rudy's such a moron.

Unless Maddox has improved recently, he's great between the free throw lines but turns bone-stupid once he gets inside the paint. He's turnover prone and often makes poor decisions. That being said, there's nobody in a Rockets uniform, short of Vernon Maxwell, that can motor the ball down the court. I remember Maddox in the Summer League and you can see he could become a good player, but he was pretty horrible when he over-penetrated the defense - which seemed to be often. He also had no shot.

Maybe he's improved, but it's hysterical you guys want him to replace Moochie because he came in for a minute and didn't suck.

... but then that may say something about Moochie, too. :D

you know what.....usually, i would agree with your sentiments. i am opposed to people jumping the gun, and, from an outside standpoint, i can see where that post would look a bit ridiculous. but, here is what i know:

    1) moochie is the dumbest "point guard" i have ever seen.

    2) he has done nothing to prove that he deserves to maintain his role as a backup pg

    3) i can't name one positive aspect about his game that i can honestly say benefits the rockets, except giving steve a breather, which obviously anybody can do

    4) how much worse can tito maddox possibly do, if given the chance?

my point has very little to do with how good maddox may be, and everything in the world to do with the fact that moochie freaking sucks. the list is short, and probably nonexistent, of other NBA pgs (backup, 3rd string, whatever) that moochie is better than. tierre brown was also better than moochie. why the hell do we draft these players if they aren't going to get a fair shake to see what they can bring to the court??

I've never seen tito play before, but I'm sure Rudy knows who's the better back up point guard at this point in time. He works with them everyday. I agree though that Moochie has never really impressed me much. Wouldn't it be nice to get Bobby Jackson????? Of course then we'd have 2 score first, pass second PG on our team.

And what is wrong with that? That's apparently exactly what the rockets look for in their point guards.:D

Also, DoD....the day I see Moochie play a minute without sucking, I'll be the first on this board to give him props. ;)
