I've wanted Harden on the Rockets since he was drafted, but I still thought Houston overpaid to pry him from OKC.

But he's proving me wrong. The dude is worth all that Morey had to give up.

not really sure how he showed up wade badly when wade had a great game arguably a better game overall and won the game. I think harden is probably around 6 as the best individual player this year

Definitely IF he plays the kind of defense he played today, shoot the same type of efficiency and get the same type of assists

I'll eat crow. Thought the trade was marginally good. No idea he had this much potential but its all explained due to that chucker PG OKC has on their team.

I think the SI article when he was 17 called him King James. I'd guess it started in high school, like most nicknames...

He named himself King James. Chosen One was the nickname given to him when he was in high school.

He might already be the best shooting guard...if he improves moving his feet on defense hands down he is.

Man I love this years rockets... Lin, harden, parsons and Asik

He's already playing better than Wade this season. You could still look at Kobe's season individually to be greater overall but as of late his numbers are coming down to earth, particularly with the lack of efficiency. Harden is #2 at the moment.

Right now? Kobe Bryant is still the best shooting guard in the league. I'd put Wade and Harden at a virtual tie. Although, after a year or two, James Harden could be the best shooting guard in the NBA.

Kobe Bryant is the most clutch SG but he can hardly play 37 minutes anymore....

Easily the best SG in the NBA right now. Kobe doesn't play any defense and offensively is overrated. Efficiency matters. A possession you take from a teammate and turn into a garbage shot is points off the board.
Wade is injury prone but mostly he's not the scorer Harden is. Better defender though.
As for his playoff "issues" that was one bad series and remember Ron Artest or whatever he calls himself tried to break the guy's brain.

    Who's the best?

You're playing a game of 2 on 2 to save your life. You have a choice between:

Ray Allen in his prime (04-05)
    Brandon Roy (08-09)
    James Harden (this season)

Of the 3, who do you pick?

Now, let me ask you this.

Was Vince Carter at his peak, better than all 3? (statistically he was, except there's the interesting viewpoint that Ray Allen is a surefire Hall of Famer and VC isn't, even though Vince's best seasons blows Ray's away).

Didyou watch the lastquarter?. Harden was in pass first mode in the 1st 3 quarters and went into scoring mode in the 4th. Wade was in scoring mode all game and Harden still out scored him with better shooting %

Maybe, maybe no. What he does in the PLAYOFFS will truly determine if he's the best and also prove whether he's a legit superstar or not. Regular season is where stars are made. True superstars are made in the playoffs.

Would Harden be putting up the same numbers if LeBron and Bosh were on this team?

As much as i hate Kobe, i'm just keeping it real. At the end of the day, he still averages more than Harden or Wade this season plus he has proven time and time again that he can perform and lead a team to a championship with his clutch performances. He has more rings/championships, playoffs wins, and averages more than Harden so far this season.

Like i said, in a year or two, i believe that may change.
