I'm not saying he didn't get kicked in the face, but the guy isn't the most impartial witness. From what I've read the police interviewed three other witnesses that were present during the arrest and they did not corroborate what Dorner said.
The point is that this is an irrelevant aspect of this case and our dear coolweather is not right in the head for even bringing it up.
I see no reason not to believe him. What would Dorner have to gain by filing a false report and crossing the "blue line"? Doing it just to do it?
Seriously? "I see no reason not to believe a sick f--- who thinks it is justifiable to kill family members of cops". Yeah, nothing about his value system seems warped. I'm sure he's totally honest. He waited 2 weeks to make the accusations. None of the other witnesses corroborated his POV. He was about to get disciplined on another matter....but yeah, let's take this murderer at his word.
What would he have to gain by killing family members of former colleagues - people who had nothing to do with anything, other than happening to be family members?

This is so weird on so many levels. He is basically a huge, obvious spherical guy, probably bristling with firearms, (so I am picturing something like a 6-ft-tall sweetgum ball), and he has eluded a max outlay of law enforcement. He must have found someone to help him in Bear Valley or has forced someone to help him. I would doubt he's still there, and I would doubt he could survive very long out in the snow. (But then, maybe he's been putting on body fat for just this eventuality.)
Calm your ass down. He is obviously insane and on a rampage because of the firing, that still doesn't mean he is stupid and there is no reason to file a false report on his superior. You know who I do take at his word, the guy who got kicked.
Fear and revenge. Also, by killing the family members, the police have to utilize extra manpower to protect their loved ones. What he should have done was to play nice, not file the report, but record everything on audio. Move up through the ranks if possible and keep record of anything that can be used as evidence. Afterwards, release the audio recordings to the media. What he should do now is to take hostages, then demand a negotiator from another district. Have the negotiator pretend to shoot him dead, then get a confession from the guilty officers, then play it back to everyone to prove he's innocent. *credits roll*
He lost his job following the accusations even though the alleged victim said it happened as well. I can certainly see why he would wait to file a report, since he could lose his job over it. The witnesses I've seen mentioned are other police officers. At the very least it wouldn't make sense to fire somebody for lying when there is evidence to support his statements.
I wouldn't be surprised either way. But right now, who's the biggest danger to society at large? That's a legit question, since chocolate rambo is targeting cops and cops' families while the lapd is just shooting into random vehicles. For the sake of everyone, this guy needs to be caught as soon as possible.
