You got the Rockets-Mavs game followed by the Bucks-Sonics. That's a pretty big coincidence that those two teams are playing each other one day after the trade. Also, you can watch the Lakers-Blazers game in your Picture-in-Picture. It's Basketball Overload!!!!
You have got that right, This is the most excited i have been about watching non-playoff basketball in years. Its going to be really strange watching Payton in a different uniform after all these years. So much for my research project
I heard this on 610 the other day.... Gary Payton played 999 games for the Sonics. His 1000th game will come at Key Arena AGAINST the Sonics, playing for the George Karl, the coach with whom he had the most success...
None of the guys involved in the trade will be playing tonight (Payton, Allen, etc.) They have 48 hours to report to their teams. So without Payton and Allen, this will be a very BORING game and the Sonics will be very shorthanded.
That's a great story line, but according to the Sonics GM, none of the guys in the trade will be playing in the game. http://espn.go.com/nba/news/2003/0220/1511870.html Still a good night for bball
That sucks. I think ESPN even touted the Payton vs. Allen thing on SportsCenter this morning. Bastards!
Yeah, A-Train, you and I must be driving home at the same time every day because I heard that on 610 also. All you have to do is look up Payton's stats on ESPN, and its as clear as day, 999 games. Amazing. You couldn't make that up.
Gee, two people both driving home between 5 pm and 6 pm on a WEEKDAY...BOTH listening to the SAME radio station? Whoodathunk it??
I'm still fairly upset that they are televising the Bucks vs. Sonics instead of the Lakers vs.Blazers which starts about half an hour later. Bucks vs Sonics will be a game between two poor teams, while the Lakers vs Blazers should prove to be a highly contested game. Updates on the game will be available and all but I'd much rather watch that game, and I'm certain most people here would also rather see that game.
