As hated as they are on this board... Wouldn't the pair make the Rox serious contenders the moment they join Francis & Ming on court? Two players who are desperate for a championship ring and could come cheap for Houston if they can be persuaded. No one on the Rockets roster plays as intensely as Malone and well Stockton's assists stats speaks for itself.

If Malone and Stockton were going to split the middle class exception to go to a contender, you would think they would go to the Lakers, which could use help at the 1 and the 4, and already has the best two players in the game.

Victory would be much better if the Rox developed their own players with their own signature moves instead of bringing in a mercenary.
