land_sharks, don't worry I'm giving you a mad pedestrian impression as I type this. I was really suprised that the Rockets didn't make any moves, but it is being reported right now that Ray Allen was indeed moved to Seattle for Gary Payton and Desmond Mason (seems a little steep, but then again Payton is a FA after this season). I was really hoping that the Rockets were going to add a long-range shooter to keep defenses honest, when the bal is dumped into Yao. Hopefully some of the weaknesses of this team will be addressed in the offseason.
And except for last night's game, he has done exactly what this season? How often has he been healthy since he's been with the team? Yeah great trade.
Someone who can stay healthy and can hit a long-range jumper. I really don't have anyone in mind, I was crossing my fingers on the Ray Allen deal. I'm just hoping that the Rockets do something to shore up this weakness.
Novak- We addressed the shooting in the draft. (Nachbar) I think we have the players we need. We should give this team a chance. I am against most deals unless we are getting a franchise type player. Quantity for quality! Garnett....
bigboymumu- I agree that getting Nachbar will help us long-term (especially with Rudy saying that we should consider Nachbar our first-round pick in 2003). But how does that help us now? I'm talking about immediate help to jettison us to the playoffs. I'm all for a trade that will help the team, be it a franchise player or role player. LiTtLeY1521- I'm not hating on Rice, but lets face it, Rice is not the player we were hoping he would be. He is keeping teams honest more by his reputation, rather than his shooting. Not to mention it doesn't hurt to have more than one long-range shooter.
Yeah what a great trade by the Rockets. It was unpublicized by nearly everyone, but we traded a water cooler to Vancouver for the rights to their old arena. Ok, maybe I shouldn't post after alcohol.
