Kobe is sensational now. Seven straight games with 40s+ and is carrying fakers all along. But what is our franchise player doing now? Some of you guys said they would take steve over kobe. What a joke.

Hmmmm....first post? Hopefully it's your last. I love it. Kobe is in the zone right now and I wouldn't take Garnett over him right now. Yet, your first post is used to denigrate Steve. I hope Steve's traded because this **** is just getting old. Trade him for something. Andre Miller and a 2nd round pick?

YOu Guys are Morons. Steve is the reason we are even thinking playoffs. Steve is the best damn PG in the NBA he would have more assists a game but no one can ever finish off the Fu#%*ng play!!!!

I thought it was 4 games? Btw, If Steve put up 38 shots he would get 50+ points too, gimmie a break Faker fan, your team ain't winning a title this year and that is because your team, "Shaq" is injured. Kobe is SUCH an sensational player as you say, why did he miss a lay-up to beat the Rockets earlier this year? What a joke! :D

Well, if Lakers offers Kobe for Francis + Mobley, you would
    accept it in a heatbeat.

Yao vs. Kobe is a better comparison. I take Yao. Wait for next year.

No thanks, for that trade to happen, you would have to trade me too because I wouldn't be able to cheer for that Jordan wannabe.

I seriously think Kobe is on the track to become another Jordan.
He is so young and comparable to Jordan at the same age.

FYI, Kobe has shot right around 50% during this stretch. Not too many players in the NBA can attempt "40 shots" a game and shoot near 50%.

It's irrelevant to talk about something like this.

True, he is shooting a lot of shots..........but is making 50% of them during this run.

Anyway, call me a moron but I'd give up the Cat and Stevie for Kobe before you could blink.
Also throw in Duncan, Garnett, and Tmac on to the list of who I would also trade for.

Besides his ridiculous scoring ability, Kobe can have 7 RPG and 7 APG!!! (His assists have dropped recently though) How about SF? I only remember his TO...

Unlike most people here, I still like Mobley, and I'd hate to see him gone. But this is a business....and nothing pays in this business better than winning it all.

I'd trade Steve and Cat for Kobe without even thinking twice.

Yes it is easy to score 40 when you take 40 shots but more importantly LA is winning and that is without their best player. Kobe is definetely playing lights out, I don't care for him much, but he is carrying his team right now.
As for a trade I would trade Franchise for Kobe, without hesitation.

Steve Francis has never been close to Kobe. Not once.
The only debate is whether TMac is better than Kobe. Which I think he is.

And the Lakers will NEVER trade Kobe. He is probably the biggest star in the NBA today.

    Kobe vs. Stevie

This is what happens when you compare a guy who is the best to a guy who potentially could be the best. A better comparison is Vince Carter vs. Stevie (personally, I'd take Stevie)

And about Kobe taking 35-40 shots in this torrid run. I think its actually a compliment to his conditioning because he's been able keep this up. And in the understatement of the year, this guy is really good: he's able to still get his shots and make more than 40% of them while the other team knows he'll be taking 30 shots. It's called keeping the pressure on the defender!!
