Its pretty amazing how well HOU plays on the second game of two games played consecutively. Their current record for these games is 9-4. That can be broken down to 5-1 when the second game is played at Compaq and 4-3 when played on the road. In fact, some of their better wins have been the seconnd game of two on the road... winning by 30 at UTA, winning by 18 last night against PHO, winning by 10 against ORL (along with the 25 point win at home against PHI). All good teams. 'Course, they got killed by 25 at DAL on the second of two, and lost by 12 at MIN (and by 11 at hom against the hapless Clips). It probably reflects their youth (conditioning and athleticism) and relatively good fortune with health. It also teases at how good this team is when they run the offense (and perhaps being physically and mentally tired lessens their resistance to staying with the offense and increases their patience).
I think that because they are so tired, they dont want to run around like crazy chickens with their heads chopped off, so they actually set up the offensive sets and win the game.
