What's more likely to happen?

1) Milwaukee brass gets drunk and hands us their best player.
2) LiTleY1521 posts 5,432,213 times in this thread. In a span of 5 hours.

Hey, I like Ray Allen. I really do. However, if Milwaukee pulled the trigger on a trade like Allen for Cat and Cato (while sober), they'd be the laughingstock of the league (search your feelings... you know it to be true). I know we all hope and pray for something like this to happen, but face it, the chances are slim at best. Just like Scott Layden's chances of actually getting Seattle to agree to a Kurt Thomas & Charlie Ward for Gary Payton trade (riiiiiiiiight..).

I really hate to be redundant but.... insiders out there, please come out of hiding and drop us a hint. The silence is killing me. At the least, tell us if they're going to make a deal.... any deal.

PLEASE!?!?

p.s. Trade deadline fever has claimed at least one victim.... sorry to all.

All of this is bad speculation. I've lived in Wisconsin my whole life, follow the Bucks a whole lot, and the Rockets will not get anything from the Bucks. I cant see why Milwaukee would want any personnel that Houston would be willing to offer, and with league economics as they are right now (with luxury tax worries most all teams have), there wont be any huge trades anywhere. The Miller-Humphrey/Gooden-Giricek trade is small-time compared to what most of you have proposed. Really, I dont see either the Rockets or the Bucks, or many other teams making any trades at all

You never know, I mean we got drexler for thorpe, Chuck for horry, cassell(before he was amazing) and change. We got francis for othella and dickerson. We got shandon anderson and MoT orginally with the minium exception. This team is known for making nearly impossible trades and/or aquisitions so you never know.

pasox2,

you're not really as gullible as Yao Ming letting Francis dip him enough to think this trade is based in reality at all.

did anyone notice how Rudy was showcasing Cuttino tonight. No way Cuttino has a game like that, otherwise. Seriously, there is something wrong with him. Can he even pass a physical with that cancer thing he has?

also, how about the way Rudy showcased Rice tonight with all those 3s. That was pretty smart. There might be a Rice trade going down, too.

5,432,213 .... 5 hours...x60....300x60...18000

In five hours...the most you can possibly post is 18000 times. :)

There is a higher chance of a trade occurring. And man.....Mike Miller and some nonamer for Drew Gooden and Gordan Giricek? I don't know....but that was awfully dumb of Memphis. Anything can happen.

But still...today our team looked great. They all fit in well. Everyone looked terrific as a team. They can look so awesome. Just need consistency...

Seriously, why can't Mobley play like that night in-night out, or at least some semblance of tonight. 7 dimes? What the he!! happened did he separate his shoulder during shoot around? Sep. shoulder, which didn't allow him to shoot - but he still scored...confused, going into standby mode.

Now Allen, Allen can put up stat lines like that fairly frequently. He's very well balanced, a perfect player for the Rockets (or really ANY) system. Would be quite nice to add him to the mix, but I'm starting to doubt the rumor, as well. It has been fun though.

Some of you guys are cracking me up. I said if I heard anything I would post -- instead my silence turned in to meaning something. My silence actually meant I needed to leave work, get something to eat and watch the game :)

In hindsight, I probably should not have said anything - I should have just personally contacted Jared Novak. I heard this info this morning, but even the source who gave it to me didn't seem to think it had legitimacy. I was curious to find out about it but it certainly wasn't worth passing along at that point. But when Jared Novak heard the same, I mentioned I heard something similar and wanted to know exactly where his info came from.

Really, that's it. It was just a "rumor" and there's been nothing of substance to this yet. Jared and I emailed each other and tried to see how the info came about - his source seems to swear by it. But as mentioned before, it doesn't sound real. Ray Allen is the Bucks. The only thing that makes it seem possible really is that Michael Redd is playing so well, and he could take Allen's spot -- so perhaps they would move a max contract. But you would think if they were going to move Allen they'd do it publically to raise the offers. Plus I think they have their "retro" day in a week and Allen's jersey is the one they're selling.

Anyhow, I thought I was careful in spelling out that there was nothing to back this at that stage (still isn't), but it looks like a few got their hopes real high, so I'll be more careful in the future.

LiTtLeY1521 - some advice: Ease up. You're posting way too much. Right now you look like an overexcited puppy pissing the BBS carpet every 30 seconds, and everyone's about to get the water bottle out on you.

trade for Jacque Vaughn and you could have a Stevie-Ray-Vaughn backcourt.

I'd rather move Steve to the two guard and Cuttino back to his 6th man role. So how about this deal?

Glen Rice + Kelvin Cato to Dallas
Nick Van Exel + Shawn Bradley to Houston

ROCKETS
SF: James Posey + Terrence Morris + Bostjan Nachbar
PF: Eddie Griffin + Maurice Taylor
C: Yao Ming + Shawn Bradley + Jason Collier
SG: Steve Francis + Cuttino Mobley + Juaquin Hawkins
PG:Nick Van Exel + Moochie Norris + Tito Maddox

MAVERICKS
SF: Dirk Nowitzki + Glen Rice + Walt Williams
PF: Raef LaFrentz + Edjuardo Najera + Popeye Jones
C: Kelvin Cato + Evan Eschmeyer
SG: Michael Finley + Raja Bell + Adrian Griffin
PG: Steve Nash + Avery Johnson

Posey and Francis are friends with NVE so he'd fit in OK chemistry wise. Cuttino can become the focus of the offense for the 2nd stringers. Bradley would prevent teams from attacking the basket when Yao is on the bench.

Dallas gets a stronger center in Cato and a veteran with championship experience in Rice.

Thanks for the clarification Clutch. Ray Allen IS the Milwaukee Bucks. He's been their go to guy for the last 4-5 years, and is entering his prime. However, the Bucks haven't done a damn thing under George Karl. They've had early exits in the playoffs, and were in the lotto last season. Karl already showed that he doesn't care about loyalty, when he dealt former #1 Big Dog for Toni freakin' Kukoc.

14:20 left until the trade deadline. I can only imagine the kinds of ridiculous calls are going around right now. Mark Cuban must be frantically working the phones for the Nick Van Exel trade. Not to mention the Philly GM who's been dying to get rid of Keith Van Horn.
