I'm a truck driver that's in Houston only Wednesdays and flip between 610 and 790 to hear Rockets talk. Even I notice how much these stations are up the Texans ass all day. Rockets who have trophys still get no respect compared to other city's with NBA teams. The season is over and the Texans choked, get over it already Houston. I'm a Texans fan too btw and I want to here about the other teams.
Time to move the team to Sac. Seriously though, Houston Texans have been irreverent for the last decade (since inception). They have a few good years, and they dominate the radio?
What has Morey ever done to deserve respect? He's done nothing but create a team that is perpetually mediocre, year, after year, after year.
Bad 790!!! You have to wonder why Texans always raise their ticket prices, it is because we, or the radio talkers keep talking about them. We love football, but please devote some time to the Rockets.
you know what f'n irks me about those m'fers(790). they call themselves the home of the rockets but when it's the postgame show, and if jackson or adam are not hosting, the other hosts just don't give a f'n crap about our team. It goes 20 minutes..then it's time to wrap it up! Give me an f'n hour of post game! everyone wants to go home but if you love the team, you have to sacrifice. The Rockets have been irrelevant for the same period really. The Texans are the best team in Houston, and it's not even close.
Maybe this is karma for secretly doing 610 radio wrong. you already know about two sides to every story.
This would be true of nearly every market that has an NFL team. The NFL is an absolute beast. It's so far transcended being America's favorite sport...to being America's favorite entertainment option. Consider that among the 10 most watched television shows of the year each year, at least 5 or so are NFL football games. No other sport comes anywhere near that. It's nuts.
Yep, its hard for me and I've been a fan since 78.Now, I have to either wait for the upload or some internet stream. Recently, I've just found other things to do or watch league pass. I don't know who made that decision,but I bet rockets viewership is at a all time low.
But they're talked on the radio 95% of the time, even now with season over. Throughout last summer it was non-stop Texans hype, and then through the season Texans praise and then through the choke and playoffs Texans disappointment. Now it's Texans future. Can't they save a bunch of that crap for the summer? I'm a die-hard Texans fan but this season was exhausting..I don't want to hear about them anymore. Talk about the Rockets while basketball season on..I mean they're still in the playoff race, playing above expectations and they have an exciting young star with Harden. It's ridiculous really.
Honestly, the 790 guys bring up Rockets talk regularly. But when over half of the audience can't watch the produce, that means over half of the audience really can't talk much about it. I've been a fan my whole life, but what can I call 790 and talk about when it comes to the Rockets? I do see the boxscores, so I guess I could talk about stats, but really?
Callers drive these shows. The Rockets have a product that most of the city can't see right now. It should be no surprise that callers aren't calling in to talk about a team they can't see.
only time i hear them talk about the rockets is at 0740am while i am driving to work . Other than that its just matt shaub is a turd talk
