    As for the worst book, that's too tough. I don't know how to rank the stinkers. Winter's Tale, by Halperin, was pretty horrible, and it was very long, so maybe that's the winner for me.

    I didn't know it was an "Oprah Book"...I was talking about the N.Y. Times, WaPo, Kirkus & others, I saw it on several top 10 lists & such.

    Yeah, I did too. I wonder if it was getting rave reviews before Oprah did, though.

    Mateo, I had the displeasure of seeing the movie version of The Bridges of Madison County once. I'm sure it was almost as bad as reading the book.
