Same here. We've been to WDW 5 times in the past 7 years. Everybody does Disney a little differently, so it might be good to hear multiple opinions.

But SRSLY, what, have you got some underground secret lair to offer or something you can't discuss here?

Reading about Lisa...somehow I remember her but forgot all the details...so freaking crazy to drive probably non-stop from Houston to Orlando, 900 miles!..all pumped up with jealous rage to fock her own self up like that considering the intelligence, and significant career...

Emotions gone wrong will mess up even the most supposedly balanced person I guess. . .btw OP, stay safe. I drove to Houston from Nashville, and I can't get to Little Rock without getting drowsy and having to stop. I know the traffic issues, but I second leaving early in morning if you can based on my experience. The crazy overnight driving to beat traffic did me more harm than good

She'll remember and will really enjoy seeing the characters. Took my daughter to Disneyland when she was 3 and she talked about it a year later. Took her tow WDW at 4 years. Disneyland seems better for younger kids but both are fun.

if you wanted to avoid New Orleans superbowl traffic how ealry should you make a break north? I plan to take 1-12 as much as I can but I see you can get on 163 after Jennings. Is that too ealry? I can't imagine traffic being backed up 100's of miles can it?

One thing to note, make sure you take the New Orleans bypass, saves you about an hour or two. Try to stop in Mississippi or Alabama if you power through LA. The stops in LA are just bad, but rest stops really improve once you're past it since you have kids who are going to need to stop this might be something to keep in mind. I've made the drive once and definitely going all the way to Florida is the right move if you're going to split it up into two days. After going to UGA for a time I've made the drive through the South quite a few times

My GF and I did the trip to Orlando a few years ago.

    Non stop drive (sleep wise).

We left Houston around 11pm, stopped in Lafayette, LA to visit some family for an hour or so, then continued driving to Orlando.

I-10, just after the Mighty Mississippi, in Baton Rouge. Look for the I-12 East signs, then I-10. This is also where lots of cops patrol... STILL, obey the laws no matter where you are.

A couple friends and I drove there a couple years ago for Spring Break. Left at 6 am, sped the whole way and made it in 13 hours. Stayed in a crappy hotel the first night and a Disney suite the rest of the week, very fun. I used to live 15 minutes from Disney as a kid so I've been a bunch, enjoy my friend.
