Like, basically single handedly shoulder the load like he did in 2007. He took a bunch of scrubs to the finals that year man. Also had one of the most amazing game 5's against the piston I have ever seen in my life.

Can you guys think of anyone in the NBA right now that can do that?

Dwight did it but doubt he could do it again...

I like to think durant could but idk...

    Maybe cp3 but unlikely...

IOH lebron is the only player capable in the league today, and he still needed help to win it...

Nobody has ever done it before. Sure he made them better but to make it to the finals other guys must contribute.

Hakeem pretty much did it in his first championship year. Although his support crew was really no comparison to Lebron's, there weren't really any legitimate stars either. Other than Lebron maybe Durant; although it's hard to picture it with Westbrook playing alongside him right now I still think he could carry a team to the finals.

They still had to hit big shots to get that title.

Durant is capable. Other players will lead their teams, but only Durant & LBJ can take games over. When LeBron went crazy on Detroit on his way to his first finals, that was truly carrying a team to the finals.

Rose hasn't shown he can. At least not in this generation since Lebron is in the East. Also that injury might be too severe for him right now.

Too hard to tell with Durant. He has some good players around him.

And no way can cp3 do it. When he was with the hornets, and putting 30 pers, still couldn't get to the finals. Was close and beasting it, but to me he always needed another above average player. Had some above average team mates too in West, and Tyson.

Howard had a way better cast than Lebron. Atleast 3 players average 15 points for him that year. Lebron had no other player other than him averaging 15 points.

    You're probably right.

Allen Iverson and Lebron James were the only ones who were close. Not sure who can be next.

Not so possible in the East either, as long as the Heat are stacked. We all saw what happened to the Bulls.

That 2009 run by LBJ was probably the greatest playoff performance by any player ever. 37 PER over a 14 game stretch. That is ridiculous.

The only time I've witnessed it clearly was with Allen Iverson and LeBron James. Iverson was more impressive because he's such a small guy. Dwight pretty much did it as well with Orlando but he did have some decent guys around him making big shots.

Barkley also did it with Phoenix. The guys around him weren't that good now looking at it in hindsight. But still the biggest one man team I've ever witnessed is when Mcgrady was on Orlando and got them into the playoffs and took them to a 3-1 lead over the Pistons. I think he was scoring 40+ every game that playoff series and Detroit was a 2 seed I believe.
