Man do I love random pictures with audience reactions in them. This picture could have the following story line: -Yao has just passed gas and is embarassed, thus looks down. -Colin, sensing that something is wrong with his meal ticket, runs to his aid. -The guy in the red shirt is thinking "I can't believe this dude just farted in front of me" -The guy behind the guy in the red shirt has smelled the fart and is pretty disgusted. -The woman next to Colin is thinking "Did I just smell what I thought I smell?" -The guy near the top-center of the picture in the white shirt with green text is holding his breath from the smell. -The guy in blue and with glasses near the aforementioned guy is putting his hand over his nose so as not to smell the odor. -The happy couple next to the hand guy are laughing at the smell.
Yao got a piece of the ball, one or two more inches to the right and Kobe would probably still be trying to pick his busted ass up off the Staples center paint. Any chance of seeing Yao dunk the ball on the next possesion? Obviously not. Way to be unbiased, ESPN
If Kobe didn't throw it down, it would have been called a foul anyway. Either way, 2 points for the Lakers.
You're probably right. It's times like these I wish we had Vernon Maxwell. He'd break Kobe's goddam face if he tried to drive on him.. that'd teach him not to charge and use an arm bar so damned much.
Yao looks totally devasted. That is pretty sad. I hope the teammates let him know everything was ok after the game.
Lord almighty Yao looks really upset. I feel bad for the guy, he's totally alone with his head down. Last night was frustrating. Hopefully, he'll translate that into aggression next game.
No Sh*t... It was huge for Yao to go down there and quite the crowd, but like Sir Charles says... "ESPN is so wrong for sports"
I did not get to see the highlights on ESPN but my wife did. She said they only showed Laker highlights and the Kobe slam over Yao like 4 times. I too thought it was huge of Yao to demand the ball on the VERY next series and take it STRONG to the basket! That is the way to respond! Great highlight! But the STORY of the game was Kobe. ESPN just picked and chose the highlights that told the KOBE story instead of the Rockets v. Lakers game story. Hence no Yao highlight, no Rockets highlights. That sucks for the fans that want to see BALANCED reporting of the game. Whatever. I still like ESPN, just sometimes I shake my head on some of the decisions. Chris
