http://www.nba.com/reportcard/midseason/2013/rockets/ I think the Rockets have done exceptionally well this season. The team has improved dramatically since the start of the season. For being the youngest team in the NBA and having the record they have, I have to give this season a solid B.
I'd even go so far as to say B+ considering we literally got rid of all of our good players in the offseason, and were projected to win 35 games. Now we have a young allstar to build around, lots of cap space, we're over 500, and we're a strong bet to make the playoffs. I think we've exceeded every reasonable expectation. If we miss the playoffs I give us a B.
Of the fact that almost all the players have never played together, or that 4/5 of the starting lineup is still getting adjusted to new roles
solid B+ <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/rQqnzQtm86s" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I have to give them an A, because they've exceeded reasonable expectations and they've been fun as heck to watch. There have been some really exciting games, and the future looks bright!
I had them winning 27 games before the start of the season and didnt really believe the Harden trade would increase that value much .... Despite the losing streak , they are well ahead of wherre I thought they would be. I have to give them a solid B+ for exceeding my expectations. I'll happily eat crow when they creep into the playoffs.
The Rockets were universally picked to be a low-mid 30 win team, even on Clutchfans. They are at least a B.
B+ Would be an A if we didn't go through the losing stretch, didn't experiment with Lin as spot-up SG, and if we at least played the rookies somewhat during the 4 in 5 games stretches. Grades relative to expectations. The offseason (Morey) - A Coaching - B- Harden - A- Lin - B Asik - A- Parsons - B+ PFs - C+ Delfino - B+ Douglas - C+ Smith - A-
What a joke! First of all how are the Lakers not an F? Really a C? A team that was supposed to be #1 seed and contend for a title THIS year is in danger of missing the playoffs?
And honestly people should stop saying Rockets are terrible defensive teams. Whenever they actually try on defense, they have been spectacular.
