Few parents do. There are exceptions though, like working class parents who wouldn't be able to afford college for their kids unless they became star athletes. And there are the upper class parents who encourage their kids to become artists because they don't really need the money and because they have the social capital and connections to break into the creative field.
No money no means.. I got a 4 yr old that I just splurged on for his 4th birthday party. I got some odd jobs to do so making a trip to Chinatown DC and back is not on the viable schedule. In NOVA, you got to plan your trips 2-3 hrs ahead, I moved back to the area in 2010 is traffic has gone bonkers. Horrible place but I'm back for my folks sake with the bills and stuff.
I know right?! In the nicest way possible, forsythtroy is wrong and sounds extremely ignorant. You're doubting actual studies and saying that Asians are melodramatic an using the race card when peo
Cont...when people don't agree with them? I know you're just offering a counter argument but its a really, really bad one. Wow. Sorry for double post.
I was actually thinking about the Kimmel video with Hibbert. The interior of the house is simple. I remember the story when Jeremy asked his parents if he could change one of the bedrooms to his man-cave. He went to Ikea and set up the furniture himself. Probably for those times when he goes home to relax and rechage his battery.
After taxes and fees his got maybe $3.8 million of the $5 mill this season to work with. I think Jeremy is smart and didn't touch a dime of that is just living off his endorsement money so far which is how much?
Would the no income tax in Texas kick in during the first year of residency (now)? I'm surprised with the Ikea choice - he should have gotten better furniture.
I'm not talking about Federal Income Taxes, Agent Fees, and other Fees. His rookie money was probably towards paying his parents back for all his Harvard tuition fees or what not. So Im guessing he's spending some Nike and Volvo money at the moment  Shaq set a great example of what to do.

Gonna leave you alone. I don't think you even read what I wrote. Further, I know what kind of poster you are. Enjoy the game tonight.
You really have no clue what you're talking about. Unless you've stepped into an Asian person's shoes and have actually been subjected to what they face on a daily basis you are not qualified to comment. In fact most Asians do not talk about this and it's often swept under the rug within the culture. Asians don't have an Al Sharpton or Jessie Jackson to go rally with whenever they are faced with blatant racism. It's only recently that more Asians are starting to organize and protest and that is why most Americans don't recognize or even realize to what extent this racism exists. I'm not here to whine or get any sympathy from anybody but don't marginalize something and dismiss it as "melodrama" when you have no idea of what someone else goes through. It just makes u sound like such a D-Bag.
It was after he signed the Rockets contract. Also, he invited his close friends which included his coaches and family to dinner. No one knows nor was it revealed how much he received for the Nike, Volvo or Steiner sports endorsements. I'll try to find the article about the Ikea furniture.
Shaq lived off his Pepsi checks well into the late 90s. I think it was until his trade to Miami back in 04 that he started digging into his salary money.
