Kobe assists fantastically...if he weren't the biiggest a.s.h.o.l.e in NBA he could be better than Harden
I think LA is about to go on a run. Beat Utah Currently beating OKC Relatively manageable schedule coming up: vs New Orleans @ Phoenix @ Minnesota @ Detroit @ Brooklyn @ Boston @ Charlotte @ Miami vs Phoenix vs LAC vs Boston vs Portland @ Dallas @ Denver vs Minnesota That takes them to the end of February. If they can play the way they played these last two games...
the ease with which Bryant is dishing these assists is making him the greatest ******* in the universe
Oh God...Kobe is playing within a team concept and now averaging a triple double...huge confidence booster... (PS...Westbrook and Durant had horrible shooting games) that wont happen much either...
Oh great just when the Rockets are on a roll with a 2-game winning streak/ the fakers have their own little streak going as well by beating freaking OKC of all teams???? It's not fair!!!!
If they go 10-5, it would put them at 29 wins, 30 losses. They'd have to be hovering around the 8 seed by that point?
Pretty much this. Combo of Gasol playing well, Kobe NOT chucking, and WB/Durant having awful shooting nights did OKC in. And there were questionable calls against OKC too. Home cooking at its finest.
it's hilarious how Kobe FINALLY gets the memo that he needs to be assisting more and shooting less. I find it crazy that a guy with a high bbiq took this long to realize it.
It's so obvious now that this team's success (or lack of it) is on Kobe. When he's not chucking and is setting up teammates, everybody plays much better. I'm worried now. Hope he goes back to his normal self soon and the Lakers go to hell.
Wow it took Kobe half a season to realize that when he has great HOF teamates, he doesn't need to take 50 shots a game. Maybe Lakers turn it around now
Why so worried about the Lakers? If we're making the playoffs, the team should make their own destiny. Can't rely on other teams losing. And yes, stop monitoring Laker games, they are making the playoffs. Sans a major injury, that lineup is just too good not to make top 8.
This was the best fourth quarter I have seen Kobe play in 5-6 years. He honestly looked like the best passer in the league tonight. Some of those passes he made were incredible, he was clearly 4-5 steps ahead of the defense and the Lakers offense. We also saw what a fresh Kobe can do in the fourth. He defended beautifully within the team concept. Personally I think he did an amazing job covering westbrook for several possessions baiting him into shots that I feel took the whole OKC offense out of rythme after Kevin Martin gave them that burst at the beginning of the quarter that kept it deadlocked. On paper Durant did shoot bad and that doesn't happen often but I think we're not giving the defense enough credit, ball denial and forcing tough long range jump shots had a lot to do with it. When OKC got to the rim it was very congested. OKC's shot selection was just way more poor than the Lakers. Most of the Lakers fourth quarter buckets were wide open seams in the defense like Steve nash's easy runners or wide open 15 footers for Gasol. Despite the score, OKC got flat out steam rolled in the fourth.
