I haven't gotten to see any Rockets so far but I would like to ask have any Rocket players added some new moves this season in particular Francis,Mobley,Anderson and Cato or do they have the same game from last season. Also has Francis gotten better this season?

Yea, Jason Collier can literally fly.

Literally fly means that he could take off and not come down. I do not believe Collier can do this at the current time.

You are incorrect, Rock. Collier CAN literally fly. He levitates, he floats, he leaps tall buildings in a single bound.

The move I've seen the most thus far is Cuttino's drop-step fadeaway jump shot. I had the fortune to see him knocking them down at training camp and I didn't see him miss.

I doubt it's new, but Mo Taylor exhibited a few instances of a turnaround, fall-away jumper in San Antonio. I think he did that two or three times and made one of them.

So far, I have only seen the Dallas game, but there are two "new moves" I'd be excited to see. The Rocks shutting down opponents pick and rolls and boxing out for rebounds.

(Forgive the sarcasm. I just think we'd get more mileage from a little "D").

I noticed the rebounding also. We boxed out rather well against San Antonio. I think on one play, I saw Mo, and Cato crashing the boards at the same time and Moochie ended up with the rebound. I don't care who rebounds as long as they are in a Rockets uniform.

What about Mo Taylor's crossover? I have seen him use it a couple of times to get by his defender. He might have used it in L.A though, so it might not be new but he has shown me that he has some handles.

One new move that I have noticed is Wiz putting the ball on the floor and actually posting up some. This is not something I approve of, since if we are looking for someone on offense to dribble, or post-up, certainly there are better options.

How about Moochie running the offense while Francis plays SG? I've seen more success with Moochie at the helm in the late quaters and moving Francis to the 2.

Your forgetting fracis has a new fadeaway jumper thats looked impressive at times. I don't see too much change in any of the other players games, but at least mobley isnt stopping and popping every time he touches the ball like he did often last year. I love Mo's crossover, very impressive for a power forward and very effective.

Actually Wink you missed the best of our new defensive schemes in the Dallas game.

We learned how to defend against "Praying Mantis" Bradley take the out, cross midcourt and attempt to dribble between and BEHIND his back!

The Rockets have learned to simply allow him to do it anytime he wants. After they stop laughing they just pick up the ball which careens uncontrollably off any of his many bony appendages, and went down and stuffed in the Dallas net.

(You can tell it took hard work and lots of practice to not stop dead in their tracks, open their mouth wide in astonishment, and brace themselves as they fell to the court laughing their butts off. The concentration alone was worth all that hard work.)

I almost fell off the couch when I saw them break out the full court press against San Antonio!

I heard Walt could now throw a fire ball like Ken and Ryu. I haven't seen it though.
