You never know what is going to happen in college basketball. In the case of the Northern Illinois Huskies, they are a team that is going to be talked about for a long time. On Saturday, the Huskies offended everyone who enjoys basketball by throwing up one of the worst performances in the shot clock era.
In one half of basketball, the Huskies managed to make one shot. One out of 31, to be exact. They burned up the scoreboard by putting up four points. You are a college team. There is no way you should be that bad. If you are scoring under ten points, there is an issue. Four points is an absolute embarrassment.

Apparently they were not content on sharing the record with Notre Dame.

Dayton held Northern Illinois to five points in the first half en route to a 60-43 victory on Saturday.

The five points were the fewest scored in a first half since Notre Dame limited California to five on Nov. 26, 2010. The fewest points scored in a half in the shot clock era is four by Savannah State vs. Kansas on Jan. 7, 2008.
