Ok I know tomorrow's game against Seattle is only the pre-season but you have two of the NBA's best point guards going head-to-head. You know G.P is going to be talking trash and trying to get in Stevie's head. I hope Stevie shows out and brakes his ankles. I have a feeling stevie might get out of the offense just to show G.P that he is the man now.

Then you have two of the greatest icons of the past in Ewing and The Dream going against each again for what seems to be an eternity. If Hakeem can have that same fire that Ewing does I really do believe that Houston can and will go a long way this year.

And the other key matchup I like is Mo vs. Baker. Can Mo d him up? We already know that in the paint Baker won't be able to handle my man Mo. This will be an interesting matchup.

And then the X factor, my main man Cutino. This man should be an All-Star this year. He has ice-water in his veins and no one can stop him unless they double and triple team him. I love his game and his attitude towards cause he plays with fire and emotion.

Yeah, yeah I know it is the pre-season but hey what else do we have to look to for now?

I guess the Mo vs. Baker matchup is out of the question.

Damn Kenny broke his finger. [IMG]

First i give kidd the nod over steve for now. and cuttino is in no way an all star. a good player? definitely...an all star? no, not yet. And lastly, it will have to be baker vs. 'los/kenny.

Didn't think I was comparing Steve to Kidd, but if I had my way based on each's upside I would take Steve in a heartbeat. And as far as the best PG in the game right now, that belongs to the GLOVE. He can take over a game defensively as well as offensively. Kidd needs to get a jump shot and I would probably take him over GP.

Cuttino may not be an All-Star yet but he demands All-Star defense ala double and triple-team. He gets the same type of respect an all-star get when he has the rock in his hand. I still wouldn't be surprised if the coaches vote him in though.

And lastly I started this post before I found out by Mo.

I would be literally SHOCKED if Cuttino somehow ended up an all-star, not because of his particular talent and playing level, but because the West is totally stacked with excellent guards:

Nick Van Exel: 16 pts, 9 ast
Steve Francis: 18 pts, 5 reb, 7 ast
Kobe Bryant: 23 pts, 6 reb, 5 ast
Terell Brandon: 17 pts, 9 ast
Jason Kidd: 14 pts, 7 reb, 10 ast
Penny Hardaway: 17 pts, 6 reb, 5 ast
Gary Payton: 24 pts, 7 reb, 9 ast
Michael Dickerson: 18 pts, 3 reb, 3 ast
Cuttino Mobley: 16 pts, 4 reb, 3 ast

It's going to be AWFULLY tough for him to get that all-star nomination. He's definitely got his work cut out for him. [IMG]

It should be a good game with Seattle, though.

I would take francis over Kidd any day. Kidd is a great passer but he does not have enough offensive fire power to draw attention.

All the great PG's could also score, which made their passing more effective. The defense did not know what they were going to do; shoot or pass. Magic, Isiah, and even John Stockton could score.

With Kidd, you know he going to pass.

I will take Francis over Kidd and Payton when it comes to point guard in the west. I have a feeling that Francis will explode this season and take his job to the next level.

As far as Baker playing PF position, I think he's weak, Rogers and Thomas should'nt have much work to do!
