i hope they can trade mobley for payton. they might need to add another player maybe taylor to match the salaries. then if we get payton, they need to persuade francis to be the 2 guard. if we cannot get a point guard, maybe they can try getting a PF. posey is a small forward. so moving him to the 2 guard does not make sense. either they get a point guard or power forward would be good for the team.
have you seen this in sporting news? Who's on the block?: Would they really move Cuttino Mobley, best friend of star point guard Steve Francis? How about Eddie Griffin? Needs: A big, defensive-minded guard in the Eric Snow mold to pair with Francis. A legit power forward to plunk down low would be nice, because the tandem of Griffin and Mo Taylor is not working. Outlook: Nothing is forthcoming in Houston. In the end, it might be that having an offense centered around Francis and Mobley takes away from what center Yao Ming can do, and Mobley would be the one to hit the road via trade. But that decision is not going to be made by Thursday. The Rockets will continue to try to work out the right offense for the group they have.
