I know everyone feels relaxed now Shaq is out, but that just means "more shots for Kobe".

I believe if we don't play as a team tonight, someone i.e. Cat, or Steve, could get caught up in a one-on-one duel with this guy when he starts to drop 30 and it is still in the first half.

I know last game Cat had a pretty good game against this guy, and I believe that was his last decent game. I don't know, maybe "same opponent, same outcome".

No one is going to stop Kobe. The key for the Rockets is to stop everyone else.

See the thing is kobe is very injured. He doesnt just have bad tendenitus in his knee he also injured his knee last game and has a sprained ankle.Although he was injured in the knicks game he was double teamed and still dropped 40 but the lakers lost.In the spurs game he dropped 44 double teamed as well as defended by one of the best defenders in the league but he took 41 shots and the lakers lost with Shaq there too.So who knows. You dont have to be worried about kobe tonight.;)

Double him sometimes, other times not. Mix it up.

But, we must go at him and the rest of the team.

No one can stop Francis, Mobley and Yao.

But we can stop Fish, Horry, and Fox.

    Kobe's knee doctor.

But seriously, the Lakers play poorly when it's Kobe-on-5. We should hope that nobody stops him from having another 40+ point game. So long as he doesn't get many assists and/or rebounds, the Rockets should win. As it is, the Lakers don't like Kobe all that much. When he's a ballhog, they like him even less. That means the team performs more poorly, and everybody talks about how it's really Shaq's team.

    Go Kobe!

    Funny, lol.

Steve is basically our whole offense on alot of nights. Can't have him waste all his energy on D. Let Kobe shoot and maybe he'll shoot less then 50%. if so, we will win.

Why do we want to stop him?

I think its been shown that Bryant can explode for 40pts, and the Lakers will still lose - all you do is let Bryant hoist up his shots, let him get his 40, the Laker role players will starve on offense, and we will win. Double teaming him will only get us burned.

They drafted a Euro and traded him to the Raptors for Kareem Rush, I thought.

you don't stop kobe. let kobe stops kobe.

    1. put the cat on him and helps at baseline and middle.
    2. force to shoot jumpers. if he makes a few, get closer and force him to drive.
    3. if you can't stop his penetration, pick up man at half court. double team when he gets the ball.
    4. always have at least 2 guys back on defense
    5. no easy dunks

    when the rockets on offense,
    1. set double screens for cuttino, let kobe chases him around.
    2. run pick-n-roll with yao and cuttino, when kobe guards yao, give yao the damn ball. he probably will foul yao

The Franchise will stop kobe, no doubt about it. Put stevie on him, and he will get him. This game is going to be decided on Stevie stopping kobe from pulling off another great shooting game of 35+ points with great percentages. I really think that the franchise will rise to the occasion.....no doubt
