Oh man, I was going to post this. Freaking awesome trailer. Is that Halley Berry laying on top of Jackman near the end? Curious, that's all.
Wow. Looks freaking awesome!! Now, can someone tell me, out of the new mutants, who are the good ones, and who are the bad ones??
I didn't see any new bad mutants, Kelly Hu's charactar, the chick with the long finger nails, isn't supposed to be a mutant. Hope they didn't screw that one up. Looks like the guy who blows up the cop cars, Pyro, is a student at Prof. X's school, but he may switch sides when you see him talking to Magneto there. New good mutants, I saw Shadowcat (the chick who fell through the bed), Colossus, Nightcrawler, and I read that Banshee, Gambit, and Jubilee would have quick scenes as well.
Gambit is my favorite Xmen, although he has a lame super power. I heard that Bryan Singer wanted him or Nightcrawler in the sequel and looks like that they choose Nightcrawler instead. Plus there was talk of putting beast in the first movie. Would be interested to see if they put him in any future sequels and pray that he doesnt turn out like Blanka in Street Fighter.
Hey, Duncan, love the screen name... That trailer kicked major ass. 5 observations: 1) Where's Beast? 2) Show me the Sentinels, damnit!! They better be BIG, or I'll be pissed... 3) I imagine that's Mystique as Senator Kelly and not the actual liquified man himself (he IS dead, right??). 4) How can Rogue take Iceman's power without draining him? 5) Sabretooth? Toad? Are they dead or just not in the movie? BTW, Topps is making X-Men 2 trading cards. The entertainment department has a bunch of movie stills lying around. All I can say is wow. (Didn't see any Sentinel pics, though. )
Thanks, Vescey. In regards to Iceman, perhaps he has some sort of ability to not be affected that much by Rogue. I am very pleased about Colossus, because he was my favorite character.
Beast was in the script, but the film makers felt that his makeup would make things more complicated and that he'd be one blue mutant too many. I didn't know there were gonna be sentinals in this one. Seems Mystique is President Kelly I don't think Rogue took his power, it looks like he froze his mouth to for a protective layer, hence it was a cold kiss causing the steam breath Sabretooth will be in the 3rd film, don't know about Toad, though he seems like the perfect adversary to Nightcrawler.
Kelly Hu alone is enough for me. Can't act. Breathy voice. But did anyone see the atrocity called "The Scorpion King"? Gawd, that woman's hot. I saw the trailer for X-men 2 when I saw Daredevil. I'm really looking forward to this movie; it looked great. What a year for movies. X-Men 2. Hulk. Daredevil. Matrix 2. Matrix 3. Return of the King. Finding Nemo (hey, I like Pixar movies). Terminator 3. And I've probably missed about 4 or 5 other big films, can't recall them all.
