I'm not a classic/old film buff, so my knowledge of old stars is limited..the only ones I can name off the top of my head is Marlon Brando & Paul Newman. The only old film I've watched was 12 Angry Men, which I really enjoyed actually..should make time to watch more classic films.
A grade B actor (and that's being generous) who stumbled into one career defining film, a classic called The Longest Yard. Other than that one starring role (Deliverance doesn't count), every other film he ever starred in was godawful.

Jon Voight was the real star of that movie (along with the dueling banjos). Never understood why people point to Deliverance as a classic Burt film.
I recall he was well on his what to being the highest paid actor of his day until he had some accident . .. I think that would make him Tom Cruise . . of his day [I don't agree with RDJ because RDJ can actually act . . . unlike Burt ] Rocket River

Trick question. There will never be another Norm McDonald.
what, your thread title is supposed to be written and said as "who", since you're asking "What person is?", or the one doing the action. Were it be "Whom shall we call?", then you'd use "whom" as an object. He's lying, man. He can't be NEGATIVE 40 ish.
That is what I was going to post. Easy winner. He could probably play Burt in the "Smokey and the Bandit" movies and pull it off easily. It was clear he is this generation's Burt Reynolds right from his appearance in "Dazed and Confused". lol Which leads to the question....why haven't they remade "Smokey and the Bandit"? Hell...they remade everything else.
