That was a BJ in the woods?

Damn. I thought it was just a lot of kissing.

But, yea, all the sounds were that of a BJ.

    Evan - The 1-minute man?

I wonder how long this relationship will last? I say they will make it to a year.

Well said. I was bumming that I thought I knew that Evan didn't have the brains to pick the right one (and that the bj would cloud his thought process), and I was already feeling sorry for Zora. The "rollercoaster" preface to the speech had me going, so I almost fell out of my chair when he told Zora: "I've chosen you." It was also nice to see her get a half mil, too.

Of course, you know that Hollywood will break these two up.

    Don't count on it, bub.

    And I quote...

Guess ole Evan got tired of "Plain Jane" Zora. It was bound to happen. If you were single and suddenly became famous (well, for 15 minutes), wouldn't you try to date a supermodel? Isn't that the American Dream? :)

To quote Seinfeld (episode: "The Abstinence"):

Hey, at least Zora got a little money and fame, right? Plus, all of America is pulling for her now. Don't feel bad for her. Evan was a Grade-A knucklehead. She can and will do better.

If Evan doesn't want her, that's fine by me :) I might have to give up on my dream of dating a power dancer to get with Zora :)

Did anyone else find it a wee bit too coincidental that during one of her dates with Evan, Zora had a freaking dream where she saw him as two people? Everytime I see crap like that in these reality shows it makes me seriously question how genuine any of it is. I mean, think about the ending. Evan picks the one girl out of the bunch who seemed to genuinely not care about the money. The ending was just a little bit too perfect by TV standards to be real. I don't think the odds of that are very good. I smell bull****.

I only watched parts of the last two shows, so I missed the BJ. BJ sounds? They actually played "oooh, right there...like that.... yyyyeah....ohohhhoooooo, yeah baby ooooooh" on network TV?

Joe Millionaire was such a HUGE disappointment. Someone should sue FOX for false adverting. They promote the show to be this cynical, cruel show allowing its viewers to laugh at the expense of the humiliated women and at Joe Millionaire once the women rejected him. Then they end the show with a friggen happy ending?

There were 2 problems with the show. (1) They picked the wrong guy to be Joe. I don’t think they could have picked a more boring uncharismatic person. They should have picked a mean heartless prick that would make fun of the money grubbers behind their backs. (2) They need to find a way to keep the money grubbers on the show longer.

Fox's 'Millionaire' takes it to the (ratings) bank

    By MIKE McDANIEL
    Copyright 2003 Houston Chronicle

    Evidently, it pays to lie.

An audience of more than 34 million people watched the two-hour Joe Millionaire on Monday night, giving Fox its biggest non-Super Bowl ratings ever.

The show -- about 20 women vying for the affection of Joe (real name Evan Marriott), who said he was a multimillionaire (in reality, he made $19,000 last year) -- was an across-the-board ratings smash, crushing all competitors in every age category.

Fox had triple the audience of ABC and more than double the audience of CBS and NBC. The latter's Michael Jackson special scored a 9.5 rating and 14 share, averaging 14.6 million viewers.

Joe Millionaire was as big a hit among teens (grabbing 33 percent of the teen audience watching television on Monday) as it was among men 18-49 (also 33 share). It was even bigger among women 18-49 (39 share), and bigger still among adults 18-34 (44 share).

According to overnight ratings, the show averaged a 19.2 household rating and 26 share over the two hours.

But Nielsen Media Research is considering Monday's telecast as two separate shows, a "special edition" airing 7-8 p.m. and a "regular edition" airing 8-9 p.m. Considered separately, the first half of Joe Millionaire registered a 16.6 household rating and 23 share, or 29.2 million viewers. The last half scored a colossal 21.8 rating and 29 share, or 39.9 million viewers.

The monster numbers (particularly for the last hour) are comparable to last year's Academy Awards, which posted a 25.4 household rating and 42 share, or 41.7 million viewers.

The numbers were nowhere near those posted for ABC's coverage of last month's Super Bowl XXXVII: 40.7 household rating (second-highest in Super Bowl history), 61 share, 88.6 million viewers.

But the fact that the numbers are comparable is remarkable in itself. Prior to Monday, Fox's highest-rated, non-Super Bowl telecast was the Jan. 21 premiere of American Idol, which had 26.5 million viewers.

Final Monday ratings won't be available until today. "We don't anticipate a drop, based on what's happened recently in the ratings," said Scott Grogin, Fox vice president of corporate communications.

Grogin wouldn't agree Tuesday that the show's premise means it's profitable to lie.

"More than anything else," he said, "it demonstrates that the audience appreciates being in on the joke from the beginning."

The show is not done. Joe Millionaire: The Aftermath, will air next Monday (8 p.m., Channel 26).

But the possibility of some kind of sequel isn't likely, Grogin said.

"When you've got 40 percent of the available television audience watching the show, it would be very difficult to do another version of this show without people knowing what is happening," he said.

With all the money that FOX made on all those damn commercials in the two hour time slot, you'd think they could afford to give more than $500K to Zora and Evan!

    Sara speaks out!

    'Millionaire' loser sore
Sarah: Duped, embarrassed by reality show
    By LANCE GOULD
    DAILY NEWS FEATURE WRITER

"Joe Millionaire" runnerup Sarah Kozer is fit to be tied over the way she was treated by the blockbuster TV reality show.
"I'm horrified," Kozer - who got the boot from fake rich guy Evan Marriott in Monday night's finale - told the Daily News yesterday. "[I'm] completely embarrassed."

She said she and the other 20 women who flew to the French chateau where the show was taped were duped by the show's producer, who never even told them "there was going to be a guy there."

"I thought it was going to be 'Sex and the City' in France," said Kozer, 29, breaking her network-imposed silence from her home in Beverly Hills, Calif.

"The way [they described it], it was going to be 20 single, sophisticated women in France, looking for romance and adventure. Then, once we got there, [they said] 'Oh, it's going to be a dating show.' It was a setup from the get-go. We didn't know what we were getting into."

Kozer - who caused an off-screen controversy when it was revealed she had starred in dozens of bondage and foot-fetish videos - also said she was unhappy about being portrayed as the "bad girl."

"It's upsetting," she said. "Because it wasn't like that. These shows are edited in a very Freudian way - they have to have a Madonna and a temptress. Once they started editing, I was really shocked that they chose me to play that role."

As for Evan Marriott, aka Joe Millionaire, they haven't had any contact since the show ended with Marriott choosing Zora Andrich over Kozer as his "fairy tale princess."

"We're not allowed to [have contact with him]," she told The News.

But she wanted to make one thing very clear about their relationship.

Referring to the notorious moment when she and Marriott ventured away from the cameras for what seemed to be an al fresco makeout session - replete with "slurp"-ing subtitles - Kozer said: "It was nothing ever more than a kiss. Even Evan is backing that. It was a setup - even Evan getting me off camera was a setup."

The experience wasn't a total loss for Kozer, who said she made friends among her fellow female suitors - including Melissa Mowery, who is staying with her in Los Angeles.

Kozer said she has spoken with Andrich.

"I talked to her yesterday and today, just briefly," Kozer said. "I told her to hang in there. And I called her to congratulate her Monday night."

As for the fetish videos, Kozer said: "I never thought it was a big deal. I told Fox about it at the beginning. There was no nudity. It was a modeling job." Now Kozer just wants to move on.

"I'm hoping to do ... a cookbook, and [there's talk of] a reality cooking show," said Kozer, who has a broadcasting degree from George Mason University. "I've also had some hosting offers. I've got an audition with E! for a style show."
