I've already mentioned that particular play when that happened. What I can say is just watch the game & see for yourself.

Just trying to emphasize your point & tie in Walker's comment. The Rockets defense (trapping on walker and Sessions mostly) and Harden's driving won the game. Mostly it was the defense (for a change) and VERY interesting that Lin initiated the winning strategy.

I seldom saw him making good in game adjustment. Any one care to give an example of his in game adjustment? I saw many times like the game againse Clipper in which the opposing team were able to run the same sets over and over. I suspect that his only in game adjustment is substitution. If the opposing player that Lin or TD or 2Pat is guarding is hot, Mchale tends to just substitute in another player rather than making some changes to the defensive setting. He kind of relies too much on individual players to make their own decision.

This!!! is so true. I think most people are like that though. They look for individual talent, which is important to a degree. But talent doesn't always equal championships. Look at our Rockets in 1994, w/ the exception to Hakeem. Look at the 2004 Lakers w/ Kobe, Shaq, Payton and Malone. Look at the Lakers now.

At this point, Mchale just wants Harden to do everything because he's the most talented scorer. I agree that he's a talented scorer and all, but it's not going to win championship.

One can make the argument now that OKC has just one superstar in KD. Westbrook is not as good as everyone says he is because of his low FG%. Maybe OKC can win the championship w/ just one star in KD.

Its not working now because Harden is not making his shots (slump?). But it can work and was working during the winning streak when he did. (and Lin to an extent).

When you are told to bring the ball up the court and either immediately pass it off or pass it off 2 sec later to somebody coming off an off-the-ball screen. The only aggressiveness you can show is in aggressively going to camp in the corner and aggressively attack people on defense.

I thought Lin ran into the corner and camped quiet aggressively and defended quite aggressively this game.

No it is simply NOT working. I've watched Harden for most of his career in OKC, and the offensive sets run via Harden is causing him to drop in efficiency. Yes he gets 20+ a game, but he's being ran down at 40+ min per game. Whoever designed the offensive set to run via Harden NO MATTER IF HES TRAPPED OR NOT is going to cause injuries and fatigue. The games where he had high efficiencies were games where a lot of sets were actually ran via Lin or Parsons.

No. He got a verbal warning from McHale the first time for not bringing the ball up the court then either immediately passing the ball off to another player or passing it off to another player coming off an off-the-ball screen 2 sec later. The second time, he got a tag team lecture from McHale and Sampson. The third time was the last straw for McHale and he planted Lin's ass on the bench for good.

Lin's being too passive. It's like he's afraid to be raw

Is this really true? Link? When during the game did you see this? 3rd quarter mark at what time? I definetely think it's possible, but I want to at least see what you saw to confirm. Of course, you could be all sarcastic this while time.

Obvious sarcasm there. Sadly, that was in all likelihood not far from the truth.
