In the Rockets In Rudy In the Players In the Organization that I get frustrated after games, but will not turn me against them. And even if there are no playoffs, I am willing to wait, and dare to be great.
Fuzzy, I agree 100%. Thank you for starting the first positive thread I have seen in a long time. I do not know if the players ever look at this forum or not, but threads like this will go a hell of a lot further for their spirits than the lets trade or fire everyone threads. This is a special young team with loads of potential that will eventially go places. If we happen to make the playoff's this year it is a bonus, just more playoff experience.
I hoping for an eighth-place finish. It would be good enough for me. We could have our seven game series with the Mavs, to gain playoff experience (although it would probably only go five games). And the pick we give to Vancover would not be a lottery-pick. And Les would not have to think about firing a franchise icon. The Lakers will make the playoffs. So the team we need to beat out is Phoenix. Also, this would help Yao take ROY honors over Stoudemire. The Tuesday night game against the Lakers will be important, but I think the Wednesday night game against Phoenix will be the most important game of the year (to date).
I think your on crack, but... I wish I was as hopeful and positive as you... That won't happen, so let me tell you something about the Rox... -Rudy doesn't seem to have control of the team -The players seem to play only when they want to -The organization has committed big bucks for this not to work, especially with the new arena, which can't afford to have the current attendance records -We all get frustrated, as you can tell by the threads, but all still believe -The Rox will not make the playoffs...
Sure and look what patience has accomplished for the Boston Red Sox. 1918 and counting.... Given a choice, I'd rather be the New York Yankees and be very content with the merciless win-now mentality of George Steinbrenner.
I tried to make a positive thread just last night because all this negativity is making me crazy. i too believe in the rockets and i just simply don't understand why all of these people think we have so much room to complain. we're still over .500 and before the season that's what i was hoping we would improve to this season, around a .500 ballclub.
When asked in your previous post how come you posted so few since you signed up in this board, you answered you had better things to do than wasting time typing here. How come you have been so actively here lately. Are you unemployed now, or you hit a jackpot or something.
What makes me feel bad is not the record. It's the effort and the way the team is playing. Every time they play a bad team, their team game and defensive intesity which made them successful against elite teams are gone. I would have no problem if they play with heart and play the right way but stil losing because of inexperience or bad shooting night. Apparently that's not the case here.
make some changes and start winning. then we'll believe in the team, the managment, the coach and the players.
A.K.A. : "jumping on the bandwagon" If this is what it takes to make you believe, you are missing the point.
I believe in God. I also believe in Yao. I believe in Eddie Griffin. I believe in Houston. I believe in miracles. I believe that I have homework to do.
i believe in yao and rudy T, but not the rest of the players. as far as i'm concern, all the players are tradeable.
I believe in the Rockets we are 1 game up on the Lakers and one game back in the loss column to phoenix. We are going to the playoffs I believe Steve can see the light and be a more consistent passer. I believe Tmo will be a great part of getting the Rockets to the playoff's. I believe we need Glenn Rice in the starting lineup. I didn't when we first got JP. I believe MoT will start to round into form in April and we will be glad he did. I believe Cat and Yao need some rest. I believe Rudy is screwing up Boki. I believe Cato is going to need to play more minutes for us to get into the playoffs. 24+ for Cato I believe JP will not be a rocket after this season. I believe in Rudy T with the exception of Boki. I believe Jason Collier is also on his way out the door. I believe Tito Maddux will replace Moochie in two years I believe we are a young team and we will get better. I believe fans are the greatest supporters and the harshest critics I believe in MARH. -Founder of MARH Members Against Rocket Hating.
I believe the children are our future. teach them well and let them lead the way. (the Randy Watson & Sexual Chocolate version, not the original) this applies to this team, right? I'm just not so sure they're being taught well.
