This movie seemed to flew by everyone's radar around these boards including me and I neglected to even give it a shot to see it in theaters when it open few months back, but it deserves more than just a mention here and there on "the rate the last movie you watched thread"... I highly recommend this film, best film I've seen so far in this new year even though it came out last year and nobody knew about it... Martin McDonagh's In Bruges was my favorite movie of 08 if I can remember that far, and I'm buying a movie ticket next time I see his name again... Please, the trailer doesn't give it justice and it makes it out as some damn cute comedy or something.. It's much much more poignant and amazing than that...
Was gonna wait until next week to get on VOD, but since the wife is sick in bed I'm downloading now from Teh Connection. I wanted to see this in the movies so bad.
Saw it in theatres it and the comedy was enjoyable and predictably dark, but I overall didn't really enjoy it.
It was awesome. Didn't like it was much as In Bruges, but I actually saw it twice in theaters because I liked it enough.
This is the general consensus I've from those who have seen in bruges and SP, but I think SP is funnier and more entertaining, so I think SP is better, just my opinion. Even though this has gone under the radar for most, I think think this has cult potential ala kiss kiss bang bang. Side note: I went on a date with somebody and we watched this movie. I would advise against doing that, unless your dating one of those chicks that has a blood lust thing going on...
Yeah, that's how I saw it quality wasn't as good as I would hoped and it lagged a couple times when I watched it... Movie drops on dvd in a couple of weeks, gonna buy it for sure...
