So you liked Kubiak when we were missing the playoffs, but now that we are losing in the 2nd round he sucks?

Andy Reeves was the guy that pushed around Supermans wheelchair after he fell on his horse.

I thought he was a good coach, and could get better through the years, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt, but he still making the same mistakes, and the same bad decisions, so I guess its time for other coach.

He's a good coach. Not an elite coach. That being said, there's no "elite" coaches on the market right now. Gruden is not coming back. Cowher had similar playoff struggles.

Similarly, not too many "elite" QBs out there to replace Schaub. What the Texans need is more help at safety, some better linebackers to help Cushing, and a strong #2 receiver to take pressure off of Dre. Maybe a better FB will help too.

They should look to the draft to pick up a QB, San Fran style.

he went through the cutler and then marshall fiasco's which was tough.

but while he was there they did draft some good talent (including thomas) and were missing a few pieces to be a very good team as you see now.

let's not forget belichick was 6-10 his first season and 7-9 both his second and third seasons. in his 4th season he went 11-5 and made the playoffs.

i thought mcdaniles was fired too early in denver, as we see now they were building a decent roster.

as for him coming here, we already have a more than decent roster.

I heard Gruden is interested to come back, but only to certain teams:

Meanwhile, ESPN's Ron Jaworski said on WPEN-FM in Philadelphia on Monday that he recently talked with Gruden.

"He's had numerous meetings that he's told teams he's not interested in certain jobs," Jaworski said of his ESPN colleague. "There are jobs he's interested in, but no one at those teams has reached out to him, or they may even have a coach in place."

What he needs is for Tony Dungy to come back and build a Super Bowl squad for him.

kubiak is still going to be the coach if he keeps taking us to the playoffs. If we regress, he's gone. we gotta get rid of special teams coach n bring in some o line help , recievers, n more line backers.

A tiny part of me was hoping to hear that Kubiak got canned this morning, but I never expected Bob "no accountability" McNair to change his ways.

Working for the Texans has to be the best job security in the NFL, and that's the biggest problem.

I guess. He's made the playoffs 2 years in a row and improving the overall record for the 3rd year in a row. He's been passing the test for the most part, he just ran into a team that is better. He's showed progress for the most part and the next step needs to be AFC championship and beyond.

not really gonna disagree, just seems like the things we were b****ing about 3years ago are the same ones we are b****ing about today. conservative, inability to adapt, playing not to lose, etc.

from a somewhat objective standpoint, we didn't progress any this year from last... we were closer to advancing to the AFC title game w a 3rd string 5th rd rookie qb last year than we were with our starting qb this year. and in fact, relative to how this season started, we essentially choked the best opportunity this team has ever had.

    but this is all moot.
