This is the smartest thing I've heard today and I agree 100%...

To bad that doesn't really work. People will blow it off as a transition situation and he'll get traded anyway...

Although, we will not get the same value for a CAT a year ago vs. a CAT today...

Someone please put me out of my misery before I shoot myself!!! J/k....

But it's unfair to say Mobley is a cancer to this team, especially the past few games. He hasn't shot well, but he has been getting the ball to Yao on a consistent basis. People say" all he can do is shoot", but Mobes is a *decent* "passer". Wait until he gets out of this slump before you bash him. Mobley is a key player on this team. Come playoff time, if we make it, Mobes will be crucial in his defense and scoring.

    Carry on...

Yes. Some humor is getting hard to find around here. (B-Bob excepted. ;))

Of course, it's hard to be humorous with the bi-polar play of the Rox. We should all be taking Prozac, no doubt.

Why don't you say Yao Ming is a cancer?

Don't forget, two years ago Rockets won 43 games and hold the best record against teams from Eastean Conference.

Other than teammates adjusting to him, Yao has to show he has the will to win. He has to work his way inside. Period. What's the purpose of passing a ball to a center 20 feet away from the basket?

When cato is on the court, at least we know what we can count on him. I'm just sick of seeing Yao bent over resting his hands on the knees. If you are tired, sit on the bench.

Yao simply lacks intensity to win. He is poorly coached too.

You can always trade him if you like.

At least Yao has done nothing to hurt the team.
Can you deny he is an upgrade from the "old" Cato?
Now Yao + Cato is better than the "old" Cato. Why
    the team performs worse?

Because when team is winning Yao takes an unfair share of credit; when they are losing it's all his teamates are to blame. But the truth is: He is an All Star who is NOT even irreplacable on his own team. Until he lives up to the hype, that's not how we should build our chemistry.

Steve Francis goes 6-18, with 1 assist and 3 turnovers (a .333 assist to turnover ratio) while handling the ball almost the whole time, and you guys blame a guy who took 10 shots? Okay, makes a lot of sense...

Trade Mobley and we still have a 6'3" guy playing like he's Michael Jordan.

agree with mr. clutch. if there was one play during that miami game that epitomizes the rockets season it was when the rockets came out of a timeout only to have steve dribble from one side of the court to the other. and then back to the other side all while doing behind the back and between the legs dribble. if anyone recalls, bill worrell was totally fustrated as all of the rockets fans.

Critizing Yao is kind of taboo on this board, but the honeymoon is over.

There are a lot of mysteries surrounding Yao's performance. One of them is: Yao simply doesn't get enough shots because he plays with the most selfish backcourt. It has become so wildly spread that I can't imagine how Steve/Mobley can handle the tremendous pressure.

Doesn't Yao know all about this? Surely he does. The chemistry is just not there.

Yao can talk to the media whenever he wants. But he never openly praised Steve Francis even after SF's all-around performance against Utah or LA. That's not very smart. We all know how important team play is, but praising someone doesn't mean you encourage his one-on-one play. It's all about chemistry.

No wonder neither Steve nor Mobley came out to defend Yao when Stephon Marbury is bashimg him.

You see. How many Yao-only fans on this board.

If Rockets keep losing, Yao can kiss goodbye to his commercials.

You are not watching the game but just want to be maverick to show you are a smarter ass than others. Don't comment on a stallion while you have a sewer rat mind.

I really think its time for CM to go. Indiividually he may be a bad player, but with Franchise around having two ball hogs - who also shoot daylights out of the court in the backcourt is bad. Also, it is difficult for him to be a third optioh on any team. I used to like his game, but that was before YM arived. He no longer has a unique role on this team. BYE BYE my boy.....

Anti-Mobley threads are a cancer on this bbs. They're popping up all too often, saying more or less the same thing over and over and over.........and over.....and.....
