Well I don't know about any of you, but I thought it was the best game of the year.

Only because I didn't watch it or listen to it.

 

Just because his assist numbers are low doesnt mean he doesnt pass, it just means the person getting the pass doesnt finish. Steve could pass the ball hundreds of times in 41 min. and just get 1 assist.

 

That would be funny, but I think if it didn't happen already, people by now are just about ready to give up predicting even the next game based on the last, let alone the outcome of the season. I know I am, it's just totally pointless. We won't jack know until 8 West teams have x's by their names in the standings... unless we were well out of contention much before that...

 

No. It could mean both ways. More often than not, including last night game, he didn't!

 

This game just makes me think that Rockets is definitively one of the worst team in the NBA.

Don't be so angry when you realize that maybe they are just not any good at all. They belong to the bottom with the heat and the cleveland cavaliers.

I am tire of hearing "yes, we beat a good team by a huge margin, and we should win tomorrow's game against a crappy team", and every time the Rox gets their butt kicks.

The Rox always wonder why after a disgustingly repeating pattern of win 2 game against good teams, lost 2 against the worst teams.

The reason is so SIMPLE: they don't have a true leader right now. SF certainly is not one even after Jordan told him that he expects SF to be a good leader. When things go bad, as they often do in NBA, the leader has to step up. Not by shooting the ball every time he gets it, but by doing whatever is needed. Like a rebound, involves your team mates, boost your team's morale by being vocal. SF doesn't have it right now. Just watch the Jordan tape, and see how he plays as a leader, SF needs to learn, not just hear it from MJ and believe he's a leader.

I am pretty sure Yao is disgusted as hell. I would be if I am in his situation. He can not and would not complain or say anything negative to his teammate. In chinese tradition, you pay the due, before he will do that, he has to get some year under his belt playing for the team. I am sure Yao will emerge as a leader gradually, just like when he's playing in China.

Fire Rudy won't solve the problem. However, it looks like the players don't respond to him at all. He yelled foul, nobody fouled. We Rox fans got a problem when your coach is always dishing out lavish praise for one game when SF is doing what he's supposed to do. "SF is flawless the past 2 games...blah,blah" "Yao is phenomenal"...



This team is very hard to understand.

Well this subject of the loss to the Heat(and other bottom feeding teams) has been beaten to death with a stick. Bring on the Lakers

 

Past couple of years,you haven't even been a member for a year. And to respond to your comment,Ming is the only Rocket who at least gives a damn.Go through all the threads in this BBS and you will see that over 70% of Roxs fan are not happy with the lack of heart that these guys bring to the court. Yes we do play around on this BBS,at least I do, to release frustration because we love our Rox but when the other players at least look like they give a damn then I'll give them credit. Ming call your Sharks because your teammates down here only care about themselves

i guess that means Yao's gonna hav2 get MEAN and with the Rox b4 he can really start getting mean and pissedoff at al the opponents in the NBA. yes Yao. go ahead and spit on your teammates faces... let them know that you wanna be "part of something BIG... so f**kn pass that $hit to me"

 

This loss really states how our season is going. And I was so right about how the Rockets just suck against these losing teams. It's just a jinx in Rockets history. I feel a trade coming....

And this is the Rockets season for this year...

 

indeed most of the chinese fans think rockets is a crap team and if not for Yao Ming nobody is going to watch them play. period.

 

It's not just the Chinese fans. But lots of us longer time fans are more understanding because they are rebuilding, Steve was out a lot last year, and they are still relatively young. But some of us are starting to realize that just because they have good excuses doesn't mean they are a good team, or even close to being good.

 

I got tix to this game, thinking at least we'd get a win out of it. The Heat did have great field goal percentage throughout the whole game, but I guess any team would when there is no defense. Travis Best is only 5'11" and he burned our asses almost every time he touched the ball.

 

Rockets need to get their games together and play like they represent a franchise who won 2 championships in the 90s. Right now, they're playing as if they have never played together.
It's about time they stepped up and made a run. If not, they'll be going home after the regular season is over.

I guess we have to be on the same level as the Pistons (35-16), if we wanted to beat sub .500 teams like the Heat (18-34).
