Roxs look in your rearview mirror here come the Warriors they won in overtime tonight and are 3 1/2 back. It might be the Roxs and Suns watching the Lakers and Warriors in the last 2 playoff spots. Just something to think about ;)

yes, the warriors might be in the playoff, sitting on top of the rockets and the suns.

I said it earlier, if the Warriors are serious, they're 1 player away from being real, real good. That guy is GP. That would be crazy for GP to go home, make the playoffs and make some noise. they hve the goods to get him too, its just a matter of Seattle deciding what they want to do.

Golden State plays with heart. Rox do not. Golden State plays team ball. Rox play ISO.

warriors head coach eric musselman is a really good no-nonsense head coach. all you have to do is ask danny fortson, how he likes sitting on the warriors' bench?

Eric Musselman has also gotten them to buy into a motion type offense (even though they have 1on1 players like Arenas and Richardson) and it has been very succesful.

Man, Swopa is going to really gloat about this!

I agree I love Musselman. Look at it this way, we have just as much talen, I believe more, so why can't we win? I was watching the Warriors tonight and man they just have such a smooth flow, they are in just about every game.We should be able to do the same:(

Golden State will probably overtake the Rockets despite the fact that their first round pick is a complete bust and the Rockets have the likely Rookie of the Year. Disgusting. Nauseating.

I'm been thinking about it and the majority of the blame isn't actually Rudy's. It's the owner's fault for not doing anything about it. Only he can fire people. Rudy may suck, but the ultimate blame is on the owner because he's the only person who's in a position to change things.

If Warriors picked Yao Ming instead of Dunleavy, they definitely have a better record than Rox now.

This is a coach in his first year with a totally new group of players and a new system. And now they are in the playoff hunt. But, the rudy lovers say "Let's give it more time" The're young Cutino needs his passifyer Francis diapers needs changing

I can't really see GP in GS unless EMuss stops coaching the team. Payton is a coach on the floor and not what you'd call a soft touch with his teammates... EMuss is a 1st year coach with a bright future who needs everyone to know that he's in charge. GP on that team might win a couple more games but chemistry would suffer. They'd be better off with Andre Miller.

Arenas, Foyle and Fortson for Payton and James or Booth?

Wow, Golden State is one team GP would play for. He's from Oakland.

    are you crazy???
if the warriors has the money, the money will go to arenas and not payton. gp WAS a good point guard, but arenas is one now. he's going to be superstar. would you overpaid an old guy (remember tim hardaway?) instead of paying the same price for a 20-year-old rising star?

First of all, Arenas will leave anyway because Golden State can only offer a MAX of 4.5M to him next year. Denver are very interested.

Second of all, Payton WAS a good PG? What are you smoking man? Gary Payton is the #2 PG in the league. Even in 3 years, he wil be 10 times the player Hardaway was in his last year.

Also, Golden State, I think, would have Payton's bird rights. Meaning they can offer him anything.

That deal is very good for Seattle, and if GS think for a second that they can re-sign Payton, they'd jump at the deal.

Only problem is, Payton will never re-sign for a team that has no championship hopes. Unless they make this trade now, and then sign n trade Payton to the Spurs for Parker in the offseason.

Musselman is a great coach. The Warriors play hard every night. Guys that don't play hard, don't play. He is definitely a no-nonsense coach. When you have talent but no discipline you don't meet potential (see Rockets). If the Rockets played smart and hard every night they'd be a lock for the playoffs, instead we sit and wonder what team will show up every night. I was a defendant of Rudy T, but maybe a firing is in order. Losing when playing hard and smart is acceptable, but losing playing half-hearted and dumb is not.
