Change in team outlook: +18.4 ppg, +12.4 rpg, and +1.8 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Houston and Minnesota being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Houston and Minnesota had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

No way that would happen. Which team is stupid enough to trade their super star player for a bunch of average players? Would you trade Francis or Yao for a bunch of scrubs from another team which matches their salary? I think not.

W/ Rices expiring contract (9.6 mil) I think this is an attractive deal (If 20 year old - Eddie picks up the pace in the second half- like he did tonight) w/ a 1st round pick or two tossed in. Posey and Cato have strong market value. We would be supplying three starters a backup to Troy Hudson to replace Strickland and 9.6 million in cap relief -- how many teams could top that?

    G-T. Hudson
    G-J. Posey
    F-W. Szerbiak
    F-E. Griffin
    C-K. Cato
    -------------------------
    G-M. Norris
    G-A. Peeler
F-G. Rice (Last year of 9.6 Mil Contract)
    F-J. Smith
    C-M. Jackson

That team would challenge that 76ers team that only won 9 games in a season.

Every time I think the Garnett trade lunacies are going to end, someone shows up with an even more ridiculous proposal than the last...

What is so difficult to understand about Garnett making 60% of the CBA team salary cap? Are people that blind to think that Mobley, Griffin and Rice would be the best offer the TWolves would get for one of the 5 best players on the entire planet? For crying out loud people, would you trade Yao Ming or Steve Francis for Wally Z, Rasho Nesterovic, Anthony Peeler, Joe Smith, Kendall Gill and Gary Trent? HELL NO YOU WOULDN'T!!! And Yao and Steve aren't even if the same league as KG.

Good point. At this point I'd settle for Pat Garrity.

Every team in the league can offer a "good" deal, but only 1 is good enough.

I think Portland can offer Scottie Pippen and Qyntel Woods and Minnesotta would jump at it.

Dallas would probably offer Finley, Van Exel and Lafrentz.

Clippers would make a big offer, but I don't think they have enough contracts.

KG's stock isn't down so you're going to have to offer huge deals to get him.

To be completely honest, I'd offer Steve Francis and Eddie Griffin for him anyday. Steve and Mobley for KG and Peeler.

I know I'm going to be called a Ming-hater, but dammit, I'd offer Yao Ming straight up for Kevin Garnett. I mean, come on. A line up of Steve and KG, with Cato and Posey as role players? If I knew KG would re-sign with us, and the Chinese Gov't wouldn't wish hateful things upon us, I'd do it.

Don't forget. You lose a lot of marketing if you lose Yao Ming, but KG gets TONS of attention all by himself, and with him and Steve here, it would be incredibly tough to stop this team from winning. KG, along with Brand and Duncan, is one of the most consistent players in the league, and gets 25/12/5/2 regularly. With a stabalizing force like that, Francis can probably become a much better player by himself.

Of course, I'm assuming Yao Ming doesn't become one of the top 3 C's to ever play the game, which is, quite frankly, a safe bet. Wilt, Shaq, Hakeem, Abdul Jabbar, Russell, there's a long list. KG is this good at this age. You have to ask yourself, can Yao in 3 years be as good as KG is now? It's probable.

Then again, we can just stay put and I can keep my daydreaming to myself.

    Are you kidding?

    I hope you're being sarcastic.

Minnesotta would undoubtedly want Griffin and Boki to rebuild.

Replace MoT with Griffin and Boki.

Yao Ming, Eddie Griffin, Bostjan Nachbar, Cuttino Mobley, and Kelvin Cato

    for

    Garnett, Peeler, and MJaxx

That's 2 starters, and 2 high potential prospects. They don't need cato with Nesterovic playing so well though. Replace Cato with MoT and MJaxx with Joe Smith?

    LOL!

    STOP playing with my imagination.

Give them Steve Francis. The Rockets should be built around Yao Ming, period. A team with Garnett, Yao, Posey, and a true point guard would develop some scary chemistry. Offensively, they would be unstoppable.

Would they take Yao for Garnett? LOL of course they would. That would be unfair for US.

Francis for Garnett, Minnesota will say "No".
Yao for Garnett, it will be a "Yes" for the Wolves.

Since we are already posting absolutely, completely unrealistic trades:

Minnesota trades: Terrell Brandon ( ppg, rpg, apg in minutes)
SF Kevin Garnett (22.2 ppg, 12.8 rpg, 5.7 apg in 40.5 minutes)
Minnesota receives: PF Eddie Griffin (8.7 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 1.1 apg in 25.0 minutes)
PG Moochie Norris (4.6 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 2.5 apg in 18.1 minutes)
SF Glen Rice (9.2 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 1.3 apg in 27.9 minutes)
PF Maurice Taylor (7.5 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 1.0 apg in 19.6 minutes)
    C Kelvin Cato (4.4 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 0.3 apg in 17.4 minutes)
SG Cuttino Mobley (17.6 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 3.0 apg in 41.6 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +29.8 ppg, +12.7 rpg, and +3.5 apg.

Houston trades: PF Eddie Griffin (8.7 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 1.1 apg in 25.0 minutes)
PG Moochie Norris (4.6 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 2.5 apg in 18.1 minutes)
SF Glen Rice (9.2 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 1.3 apg in 27.9 minutes)
PF Maurice Taylor (7.5 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 1.0 apg in 19.6 minutes)
    C Kelvin Cato (4.4 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 0.3 apg in 17.4 minutes)
SG Cuttino Mobley (17.6 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 3.0 apg in 41.6 minutes)
Houston receives: Terrell Brandon ( ppg, rpg, apg in games)
SF Kevin Garnett (22.2 ppg, 12.8 rpg, 5.7 apg in 52 games)
Change in team outlook: -29.8 ppg, -12.7 rpg, and -3.5 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

    Francis (Maddox)
    Posey (some NBDL dude)
    Morris (Nachbar)
    Garnett (Pig Miller)
    Yao (Collier)

    Minnesota:
    Hudson, Moochie, Strickland
    Mobley, Peeler
    Scczczczczczerbiatch, Gill
    Griffin, Joe Smith, Mo Taylor
    Nesterovic, Marc Jackson, Mo Taylor

Doesn't make any sense, but neither does any other trade proposal suggesting we could get Garnett... :)

Yao is on rookie salaries. Any team who wants to rebuilt would want him with open hands :D

And talk about the financial benefits he brings

If Min thinks that KG's high salaries is the main reason why they cant build a decent team together to go past the first play-off round, they would almost for sure trade him for Yao and Eggie if any talks of this trade ever comes up. With KG gone, Min probably would have enough money to go after another near-max player too. Apart from giving up on two young talents, the only other thing the Rocks need to do is to get rid of some existing players to accomodate KG's salary.

So the question comes to if Min puts KG on a garage sale, would you do this deal?

You must be kidding. Trade Cato for expiring
contract then Minny can sign Brand + Miller with
the money they saves from Garnett trade.

    A line-up of Yao(Nestrovic)
    Brand(Griffin)
    ?(Boki)
    Wally(Mobley)
    Miller(Hudson)

    surely beats Collier
    MoT
    Garnett
    Posey
    Francis

    7 times out of 10

Minn surely welcomes this trade. They have 70% chance
to become a dynasty with that line-up.

    OVERRATED?

    No. He is good man.

But yeah. He gets paid way too much.

He is still the 2nd best power forward in the NBA.

    AND ABOUT THIS.....PROPOSAL. No way.
