Again, we should know how they calculate the TO Ratio:

Turnover Ratio - the percentage of a player's possessions that end in a turnover.

    Turnover Ratio = (Turnover x 100) divided by [(FGA + (FTA x 0.44) + Assists + Turnovers]

Compare Lin to Harden, Lin shot much less than Harden but he passed more when he had the ball in his hands. Harden is the primary play-maker. Instead of a pass-first minded Lin, Harden is the one who is score-first minded.

Yes. Lin did much more risky passes than Harden, especially in a 2-on-1 or 2-on-2 fast-break situation.fast-break situation. And he also took some rookie mistakes. This is a young team playing high-pressure, fast-paced style plays. I can deal with those TO's so far this season by our young backcourt - HardLin. It's totally acceptable.

BTW, Harden took much more FTA than Lin. Yes his talents took him to the FT line. But I don't know if you remember that Lin scored 38 pts against the Spurs when Harden was sidelined and 12 of the points were from the FT line. And Lin just turned the ball over twice. Lin was a scoring PG actually. I think he still needs time to adjust to his new role in this team.

You do know that Linsanity turnovers were mostly due to Lin trying to score rather than pass, right? So your narrative of bashing Harden's TO numbers through him scoring kind of makes you a hater. Were you heavily criticizing Lin last year when he was getting stripped in the paint all the time?

I honestly don't understand the constant need to deflect any criticism of Lin, when he himself talks constantly about needing to improve himself. JVG criticized the Rockets as a coach all the time, and his players loved him. Criticism doesn't imply hate. It's just pointing out mistakes.

Don't put words in my mouth. I didn't bash anyone. I said "acceptable". I said "I can deal with it". And I did NOT SAY anything about HATRED. Thank you.

Or maybe you think I was blaming Harden as a selfish player when I said "Lin shot much less than Harden but he passed more when he had the ball in his hands."???

C'mon bro...I don't mean that! Harden is one of the best scorers in the world. How dear would I complain about James' scoring plays?

And also, Lin was a scoring PG in the Knicks. His role was totally different if you compare it with the Red nation era. His many mistakes were bad dribbles, loose ball in traps, etc. This year his dribbling ability has improved quite a bit and his decision making is still a concern especially when he is trying to make some plays for his teammates. But I would say it again: just let them play, let them grow together, use some time and it will be fine. ;)

    Well how about turnover% ?

    Harden - 14.2%
    Lin - 21.3%

    or TO/36

    Harden - 3.4
    Lin - 3.5

Harden handles the ball so much more than your average shooting guard so his raw total of turnovers is going to be high. That being said his turnover percentage is nothing to write home about, he still needs to improve.

Again I'm not bashing Lin, but the excuses you are making for him don't make sense. He turns the ball over a lot for the amount of time he has the ball, more so than Harden.

Plus, turnovers have always been a problem for Jeremy. Even during his Linsanity days.

It's not those risky passes so much as the lazy ones. Those really bug me. When a drive gets stopped in the paint, opps are always laying in wait for that dish out- most of those intercepted at the top of the key.

That's not what Morey says about Lin's TO's! Unless...he's lying.

Looks like they're at it again fellas. Are 9 TO's in the 1st quarter a record?
