what else can he do besides watching his moron teamates make jumpers like creazy? Maybe he shout at them: F*ck you, give me the ball or I am gonna kill you.

If I were him, I would walk out of court and tell RT that I can't play like this. We will see where our guards can take the team to. I think it is obvious after seasons and seasons without playoff. However, our guards and maybe RT don't think so.

OK everybody, my email is jgatlin@houston.rr.com, and here's the petition:

Anyone who thinks Rudy should be fired please send me an email saying so. Just cut and paste the following:

Although we have great respect for the accomplishments of Rudy Tomjanovich, especially considering the two championships in 1994 and 1995, and in spite of the fact that Rudy has become an icon and institution, I respectfully ask that my name (First and Last) be added to this petition for Rudy Tomjanovich to be replaced as Head Coach of the Houston Rockets for the following reasons":

    1. Rudy has consistently failed to get his team prepared to face
teams with records under 500 as evidenced by recent losses to Cleveland and now Miami.

    2. Rudy has consistently failed to make necessary defensive adjustments during the middle of games as evidenced most clearly during the last home loss to Dallas.

    3. Rudy's substitution rotation has consistenly failed to yield favorable results, and at times has contributed significantly to Rockets losses.

    4. Rudy appears lost on the sidelines and is unable to motivate his team to play with any level of consistency.

    5. In spite of having the second best center in the NBA, Rudy has failed throughout the season to get the ball to Yao Ming. His shot total has rarely exceeded double digits. This is glaring evidence of Rudy's lack of offensive creativity or imagination.

    6. It is obvious to observant fans that either Rudy is not providing players with necessary information to improve the team, or the players are not accepting the information he is providing. Either way, this is a clear indication that his "coaching" is suspect at best!

    7. Rudy has clearly underacheived with more talent than almost any team in the NBA.

    8. The Rockets have struggled on the road more than any NBA team with a record over .500. This is clearly a lack of game preparation that reflects on the poor coaching job.

    9. At the beginning of the season, the Rockets entire organization stated that anything less than making the playoffs would be considered a failure. At this point, there is not a single NBA expert who would be willing to consider the Rockets a playoff contender.

    10. Finally, as fans we no longer believe that Rudy is capable of coaching this particular group of players to a level beyond mediocrity.

As a result of these reasons, I respectfully add my name to the growing list of those who believe that the Rockets team and organization would be best served by bringing in a new coach. We hope that if and when a change is made, that Rudy will remain in an adminstrative capacity with the team. However, we are pleading with you Les Alexander to do what is best for the team, the fans and the city!!

    Signed,

    John Gatlin

what the hell is Yao suppose to do? He hit half of his 8 shots? If watch the damn game, you'll see Yao is doing what hes taught in practice, if he doesnt get the ball on offense, he clears out to the side so whoever has the ball can isolate in the post or on the peremiter. thats Rudys style. also Defenses can front Yao all night long if your guards dribble the ball near half court and allow the defense time to set up. no mattter how you look at it, once again where back to the same ole' crap. 8 shots is unacceptable!

Rudy's firing will be decided in the next three years.

Not one game. Trust me, Rudy is a wuss and it rubs off on his players.

But, he will be judged on each season.

The team is in rambles, there appears to be no offensive sets, just players jacking up shots from everywhere - and missing them!

    -G'day-

yeah he's too much of a fixture to fire after just two bad seasons. He's being too nice, he needs to stop that, somebody get in a bar fight with him, ok I'm going to go drink away my pain.

This team doesn't deserve the playoffs. The Lakers will surge and the Rockets will stumble. Barring a team plane disaster elsewhere in the top 8, the Rockets will be watching the playoffs on cable like the rest of us.
This team rebounds so well but executes on offense when they feel like it. A trade or something might wake up this team in time for the playoffs. If Rudy wasn't balding already, I am sure he is pulling his hair out over this teams lack of good decision making.

Really, the Rox had a better record when Rice was healthy and before Kenny Thomas was traded. They went downhill ever since.

Everyone knows their offense needs works. But offense takes time. Plus adding Yao makes it more complex to learn.

BUT! Defense can be done NOW! I hate this "soft wimpy defense."
