the rockets has been a major disappointment this year. with unexceptable losts to the grizzlies, warriors, hawks, bulls, cavs, twice to the clippers and may lose tonight to the heats, the rockets does not deserve to be in the playoff. they are so inconsistent, playing excellent one night then playing terrible the next or the other way around. they beat playoff teams, but lose to non-playoff teams. i hope they don't think they are the lakers, which often loses to bad teams but beating good teams, especially in the playoffs.
Like I've been saying, this team missing the playoffs is probably best. I believe Les won't stand for another no show in the playoffs and he will be forced to so something. I'm sick of looking at this team and the way they play. It's getting ridiculous. Trash team are now coming in and beating the Rox soundly at home.
If they would just remember that it starts with defense, the offense will take care of itself. This a luxury that the old Rockets never had. They HAD to play defense.
i disagree with you that it's not the best for the team to not make the playoff. playing playoff basketball is different from regular season basketball. the pressure goes way up. so, the rockets will benefit greatly from playing in the playoff even if they lose because they will learn how to play 4-7 consecutive games against the same opponent. they will recognize that the other team will take away some of their games and force them to alter. so far, the rox has not been able to beat their opponents in back-to-back games. example: beat the wolves then lost to them next night. lost to jazz, then beat them the next day.
Francis must be taught a lesson! Not getting into the Playoffs is the first step. A Stong Coach and Coaching Staff will be needed instead of what we have now. These street ballers must be brought into control and taught how to play team basketball. Otherwise Yao Ming will be a total waste.

wlqq, now you are being silly. yao isn't going anywhere. in fact, he's the last player to go because he's the dynasty. all the players on the roster will be let go before him.
i agree, yao has so much potential. he needs to be on a team where his skills can put to use. as of now, I dont really see the Rockets going to him often enough. Yao deserves better.
Yao will lead them, the best thing is for them to fail and to learn to take all game seriously. They don't respect teams that they are supposed to beat. The biggest issue the Rockets have is they lose to teams that play hard on defense....the Knicks, the Heat, etc..etc... The Rocks don't match the intensity. DD
Yep. That's pretty much all bad teams have to do: Play better defense than the Rockets...which is not that hard.
I don't know about deserving a playoff spot, but I don't think they will get it. They are way too inconsistant with their effort this year. How can this be the same team that blew out Utah by 30pts?? I honestly believe there are a couple of guys on this team who have just grown used to losing and not making the playoffs, that they don't even really care. I try to remember that we are building long term, and to be patient, but it gets frustrating at times, especially since the KT trade. Posey...sucks,Griffin....not ready. I hope that this time next year we will all have a better feeling about the Rox, and the Rox will bring a consistant effort night in and night out.
the rockets is a SOFT team. we need danny fortson or dale davis. if we can't get the above players, call 411 and get a hold of RICK MAHORN or dig a hole and find the worm DENNIS RODMAN.
