It's even more stupid to do weed, knowing you can cost yourself 50 games. Hopefully this isn't an issue long term for him and that he learns a lesson and gives it up for good.
[BYou are right about Brett Wallace he is awful and the Astros just got worse if that is possible... Carlos Rodon here comes the Astros...] Hopefully Astros turn things around by 2014 season...[/B]
I hate to be the one to say it, but this is likely a major problem. The fact that he lost his job over the drug is a classic sign of addiction. It's taken over. The Astros shouldn;t be saying he made a bad decision. It's a disease. Not a decision. So there's some medical work to do here. But maybe he can be an even better player clean. Because if his performance was impacted, he wasn't half bad already. I hope it's not chronic and life long, but everyone's genetic disposition to the drug is different, and it's very since this is his second relapse at minimum, it's possible depending on how young he was when he started using. If he was willing to lose his job over it, then he's going to need some long term treatment to stay clean, and I wish him the best. Sad it was our best player. We need to see now now he if he seeks treatment and accepts it. Gonna be interesting, but I wouldn't bank on a comeback. We should turn our heads to the #1 prospect Carols Correa to turn it all around.
very quickly jumping to conclusions. you don't have the context or insight to know what's going on there. Not even from the media (which would still be tainted). At least wait for SOME perspective before making a far-reaching assessment like that
