I'd like everyone to voice their opinion on their favorite play from the Rocket's season so far.

To vote, here are the choices:

Yao blocks Shaq 3 times in 3 minutes
    -
Steve Francis hitting the buzzer-beating trey to go into OT and win it against the Heat
    -
Andrei Kirilenko breaking Karl Malone's nose the Jazz's 2nd visit to the Compaq Center
    -
Stevie Franchise shooting the clutch three against the Lakers to send it into Overtime, then took the extra period over to come out with the W
    -
John Amaechi smacks the **** out of Malone on 2/12

yao's 3 blocks on shaq and won the game. that's the biggest moment for the rockets this season so far because they signaled the rox is championship contender in few years with its big man dominating the nba.

Best play of the year was the alley-oop to James Posey in Chicago. He was airborne and flushed it hard with one hand over 2 or 3 Bulls. We didn't win the game, so it wasn't important, but it was spectacular. It's at least top three.

ming's facial on theo ratliff. it's too bad that we might have to wait another month or so before he gets some balls to do it again.

I think the big reason that play was so noticed, was because 1) it came right after Yao missed the defense board which Theo took and had a monsterous putback dunk, and 2) they gave Yao a T for his yelling/screaming.

My favorite moment was in the closing seconds of the best game he's played in his career.. stevie francis drives down the lane into Shaq and Kobe.. it looks like he's going to throw up a prayer and turn the ball over and effectively let the lakers back in the game.. but instead he dishes the ball to Yao in the open post and he slams the ball, and the lid down on one of the most memorable games in Rocket's history.

That was probably my favorite also. Actually, any play from that game ranks at the top. That was the best Rockets game in the last five years!

Mine would be that dunk Yao threw down on Theo Ratliff. That's the most emotion I've seen or felt in a Rockets game all season.

I think you should have better choices.

Some of the better plays were :

Yao dunking on Ratliff and screaming.
Yao with the slap pass to Francis for 2.
Yao with a no-look over the head pass to a guard on at least 3 separate occasions.
Francis getting the ball stolen from him by Shammond Williams who starts off on a breakaway, but Francis runs him down to block his shot from behind and get the ball.
Francis' wraparound around his back for layup on a drive
Yao stuffing Drew Gooden when he tried to dunk on Yao.
Yao throwing one down on Tim Duncan's skull.
A variety of dunks from Posey, TMo, Francis, etc.
And of course the master of the oop... Kelvin Cato and about 500 of those so far throughout the season.

    ... and many others. :)

those 3 minutes where Yao schooled shaq. Oh man, was that cool. It's among my top ten moments as a rockets fan. I don't know what my other nine are (except #1 is definately the kiss of death)
