Did any of you watch the damn all star game???

Francis came back in the game with 2 minutes left and brought back the west from an eight point deficit. He was unselfish and showed he can be the inconspicuous point guard that an all star team needs. I thought Francis and Kobe worked really well together.

IMO he earned a spot on the national team with his all star performance.

Please back up with stats my friend. As we speak the ONLY stat Starbury is better than Francis in is assist. Francis is a better scorer, rebounder, shooter from the field & three-point line, better FT shooter, and avg more steals per game. Steph is not with Francis, IMO.

Uhhh...why don't u take of your "I hate Steve Francis glasses" and realize that as this is posted, Francis averages MORE assist than Mike "I had one great playoff run and became insanely overpaid because of it" Bibby.

Bibby plays within the system. He's a team player. That's what so great about playing as one unit. You can take a bunch of average players and if you can get them to play *together* you can win a lot of games.

Jason Williams was shipped out of Sac because he played the same style that Francis played: wild and woolly; undisciplined.

Having athletic ability alone wont do it.

You said that "Olympic selection has nothing to do with playoff experience." True, but you're missing the point. Olympic selection isn't because you are a "nice patriotic guy." It's due to a lot of factors: all-star appearances, leader of a team, play-off wins, play-off appearances, NBA stat leader, and last but not least, NBA Championships.

A lot of factors. Compared to the others, Francis is lacking.
