I will be at the game so you will have at least 1 guy rooting for the Rox and Yao. :) Really excited about the game. This is the first time that I will see Yao live. Too bad my seats suck. Yao will like he is a midget from where I will be sitting :(

I agree Yao may not be as dominate, although he faded after the 1st half, but I don't think Shaq will have a monster game...

Shaq will get his points as he does on everyone, but the key will be how Franchise and the rest of the team handles Kobe and the funky bunch...

Yao Ming was smack in the middle of trying to climb the famed rookie wall when he first met Shaq. Yao Ming still managed to get some high lights and do a more than respectable job on Shaq. This time Yao Ming has his second wind and his legs are back underneath him so I expect Yao Ming to have a better game this time than last time. I don’t expect him to block Shaq the 1st three times he shoots the ball but I do expect him to have a better offensive night.

I believe that any team that plays Yao Ming straight up is going to give him a chance at a very good night and that includes when he is being played by Shaq. In the end I expect Shaq to end the game with around 30 points and a dozen rebounds and a half of a dozen Super Shaq Power Dunks. But I also think that Yao Ming will have a 20+ point game and 10+ rebounds.

Kobe will not drive to the basket at will like he has been doing with Yao Ming in the lane and I think his offensive game will go the way of his outside shot.

The Rockets will rise to the occasion and Yao Ming will have a very good night but of course Shaq is still the most dominant center in the game and he will win this personal battle.

I am going to this game people....It will be awesome. I should have gone to the first LA/Hou game earlier in the year but I went to a stupid Clippers game the same afternoon and didn't feel like paying scalpers for the laker game........anyways it should be good. I'll give a first hand report of how it was live from Staples Center after next Tuesday.......Woo-hoo!!!!

the first time we played the lakers, francis threw up some sick jumpers over kobe 3 plays in a row ... and they had to switch up because kobe isnt quick enough. then again, he would do the same.

oh one more comment ... im not in any place to dictate the rox offense or anything, but would it work if we put yao on the perimeter of the weak side (cuz he CAN shoot the ball) and let francis\mobley\taylor do their thing?? shaq would be stuck on the weak side ...

Cat, Posey, E.G. MoT all need step up for this one. Kobe can score whatever he wants, and probably he will. Although, his ppg was like unblievable recently, he is still shooting around 50% I guess. Shaq can have his 30 pt game, but if Ming gets around 15pts, Steve 30 pts, Posey, Cat, MoT each get double digits, and E.G. controls paint, I think this is anybody's game. On paper, we are few teams in the league ccan match up against Laker pretty well.

As long as Yao keep Shaq out of the basket, he'll be fine. And as long as the refs don't let Shaq got away with so many things, Yao will be fine. I think the one thing Yao is lacking going against Shaq is stamina. If he has the stamina of Shaq, he definitely will be fine.
