11 year old 4'5" prodigy

    Come to think of it. My daughter who is 8 is about that tall. The kid is going to be a midget.

    SMH - I think we make too big of a deal out of this type of stuff
    11 is a little young to be projecting this type of stuff
    It is kind of a focusing of his focus
    By making this such a big deal . . . the other stuff by definition becomes less important

    There needs to be some level of balance
    if it is unbalanced I would prefer it be on the side of educational pursuits

    He does have nice handles for an 11 yo tho. He could be a globetrotter putting on a show right now.

    From what I see, the opposing team is avoiding potential harm to the little guy. If you knock him down on a incidental foul, you are blamed for being the bad guy. They may even call a flagrant and eject you.

    It's like playing with a little brother, that's only 7. Every foul is a flagrant foul.

    When he gets to college, they will play real defense then.

    There has been many videos of these "prodigies"... i have never heard of them after they grow up tho.

    Isn't the correct term "phenom"? I thought prodigy only applied to academia and the arts.
