    Anti can't afford both.

Also, the relationship (for lack of a better word) is in its infancy (dating stage). Should I even bother, or would a card/box of sweethearts be more appropriate?

    Many thanks.

    Decent sized chocolate box.

Either good chocolate or a lot of it in a nice box.

If flowers, I always order from a delivery service.

    I'd go for chocolate.

I see we have another fan of "That 70s' Show"!

Anyway, I'd have to vote for the chocolate. I REALLY like chocolate.

Personally, I would give a slight edge to flowers, especially if you pick something pretty and unusual and bring it by her workplace/ dorm room/ whatever so her friends will be impressed. :) I've always appreciated it when a guy did this. But, like Mrs. JB said, a lot of women really love chocolate, so maybe it depends on the individual.

Whatever it is, the important thing is to give it to her with the right attitude and let her know she's special. (Good luck - it's always a little awkward when Valentine's Day hits the early stages of a relationship)

Flowers. All her girl friends will getting flowers. You don't want her to feel left out :) And you certainly don't want her to be telling her girl friends "my boyfriend does not love me enough to send flowers". For that, you will pay and pay.

Absolutely. Funny thing is I never started watching the show until it got into syndication late last year. I never realized how funny it was. Now I'm addicted to the evening and late night reruns! I'm actually watching one right now.

As for the topic of this thread, I'm actually happy to be single tomorrow. No pressure of coming up with a perfect evening, etc. It will be just me, some random sporting event on TV and the "20/20" special of Christina Aguilera in PIP. (No... not like that, so put those kleenex and lotion jokes back in your minds!)

Some people (well, okay, just me) would kill for that kind of dillemna. Being single every year gets pretty depressing.

Anyway, flowers with the slight edge. Guess I'll go that route unless somebody comes up with a convincing argument otherwise.

Thanks for the input, folks! :D

Flowers, but not lilacs. Hydrangias are nice, or maybe a nice bouquet of pink and white carnations.

I prefer chocolate to flowers. Would rather eat something sweet than see something sweet. :)

i'm thinking valentine's day is not the best time to exchange any gift that is marked "As Seen on TV" on its package! :)

Pink roses are the best. Since the relationship has not been going on for long get her one for every week you have been together. Something like that would be nice.

Thank god I cya'd. It's even being sent to her workplace. For only $3 more they threw in a little box of chocolates along with the flowers.

At least that is what my secretary told me. (I gave her a little yellow sticky thing and told her to do the usual thing.)

Just kidding. I actually made the call myself. Isn't that romantic?
